YAHOO CHAT ========== Yahoo Chat is probably oneof the most poular chat communities on the internet. The site is located at: http:\\chat.yahoo.com Registration ------------ When you first access the service you will need to register. There is nothing to download and so registration is quick and painless. First you need to choose a user ID by which you will be known from now on. You will have to be inventive in choosing this as, with the millions of users out there, the more common ones will have already been taken. If you have really set your heart on a particular ID then maybe try adding your year of birth or UK afterwards to ... Read the complete review

I have been using yahoo chat for quite some time now and I think it's excellent. Having looked around at other chat sites, and noticed how slow, hard to read, or have few options, I would recommend yahoo to you. Registering -------------- Its easy to use yahoo, registering is easy, Come up with a name/Id fill in the details about yourself and takes only two minutes. I love chatting online, with friends and family, as it's a good, cheap, easy way to communicate with people who are either miles away, or it's too expensive to ring them. Yahoo! chat was the first chat room that I began to use, and it's a bit naff and tacky, but does the job. Apart from the weirdos online of course. You can either access Yahoo! chat through the internet off www.uk.chat.yahoo.com, or by downloading yahoo! messenger off the website at www.yahoo.co.uk. If you do this, you have a little ikon on your desktop, which opens up "messenger" in which a list of your "friends" pops up, and you can chat to them ... Read the complete review

As a recent 'virgin' to chatrooms, I thought I would try some gentle conversation with people my age. Before I knew it, I was being asked for private conversations. Being new, I just accepted and chatted to these strangers. It wasn't long before I was being asked things that I didn't understand, like 'cyber'. I was actually shocked by some on the stuff that people were typing to me, so much so that I ended up disconnecting. Now don't get me wrong, I like a flirt as much as the next (wo)man, but there was no way they I could know who I was talking to. I now understand why peodophiles love the internet so. I could have been chatting to a ... Read the complete review

There's some grim old noises out there... very offputting. i'm sorry, it seems a good idea, people with microphones can actually, TALK in a chatroom! Great, you think. But it doesn't work, anyone who has witnessed these strange sound chatrooms will agree. 1 - No-one uses their mics to talk, or if they do, it is very rare, 2 - They use the microphones to make sounds, like "Whoooooooooooo!" or "Raaaaa!" 3 - The one word used most is always "Hello?" 4 - There's always someone who thinks it's really great to just play a section of a song through his mic. Which gets very tedious after ... Read the complete review
