Advantages: big lump sums at the end of the month

Disadvantages: confusing layout and slow

I've been a member of Ciao.co.uk for around 6 months now so thought I'd share my views. If you don't know then it works a long the same principals as dooyoo.co.uk in that it's a review site where people can read about millions of different products to help them in their buying. You can also choose to sign up and be a writer on there which you get paid for doing.

I have to say that I've found it really hard to get used to the layout of the site and although I don't use it as much as I do, dooyoo, I have only just found out where to click to look at the newest reviews!

The process of adding reviews takes a lot more time than dooyoo and there are a lot more boxes that you need to click on to help the consumer. I often find that I will click the 'publish' button thinking that I'm done and ready to submit my review and after the review has tried to load, it will tell me that I haven't filled in a box.

The payouts are very different to dooyoo in that you don't get paid for writing the review but you get a certain amount for every rate you get from the other members on the site so it helps to be big on your rating. This did bother me initially because I actually didn't see the point in joining if the money in my account was going to go up so slowly but when it came to the end of the month I realised why Andrew had convinced me to join. On around the 10th of every month Ciao give out big lump sums to members who are worthy of it. On some occasions I have received around £15 att he end of the month which is really rewarding and that's the main reason that I stick around.

At the moment Ciao are paying double money so I am finding my account is totting up quite nicely and much quicker than usual so if there's ever a time to join up then it's now.

I like the fact that you can 'cross post' which means that it doesn't take any extra effort on my part because I have tonnes of reviews here on dooyoo that I can carry over to their site.

I would recommend this site if you are already writing for other sites and have a backlog of reviews because it doesn't involve much effort on your part to 'cross post' and you will get the benefits of a bit of cash. I would also recommend this site if you write excellent reviews that have a lot of depth to them because you will definitely be in with a chance of being given a lump sum at the end of the month.

Summary: I'm sticking with them
