Advantages: money for nothing

Disadvantages: not much money

I joined ciao a couple of weeks ago thinking it could be like a little savings bank for next christmas so far i am not very happy with it.
I am sure most readers are familiar with the system, you fill in survey's on various topics from shopping to computers and for every one compleated you get a payment of anything from 10p to £5, you are told how much you will get and how long the survey is before you decide wether to take it. then after compleation and closure the money is put into your account, you can request paymant via paypal once you have £5 in your account
I have found most of the survey's offererd are only 10p ones and when on the rare occagion i am offererd a £1 one ( i have never seen one for more than £1) it tells me i am to late as the required number of applicants have been found or i answer a couple of questions like age, sex, and area then i am screened out of the survey as i "dont fit the required profile"
Also many of the 10p survey's i have done have not yet shown up on my account, just free enteries to prize draws so i am going to mail and ask about that
so it sounds a good idea to make a few quid but i think it's slave labour and i will probebly give it up soon as i think i know a better way to make a little money for next christmas

Summary: a long haul to make a few quid

This is a fairly recent innovation, you used to get surveys which paid much better before Greenfield were involved. I am in the habit now of simply deleting the 10p ones and doing the £1 or £2 or £3 ones which I get sent occasionally, usually to do with technology or computers. I have recently completed a very interesting product test for whisky for them for which I was paid £3 and got to drink it too, so do not despair.

Doesn't sound worth the effort. Would get more and have more fun doing a car boot sale!
