Uk Flipside.com is a site which allows you to play online games against the computer or against other players.

When you play games on the site you win flips which can then be cashed in for entries into prize draws.

The site has recently been updated to bring it up to the same standard as the American and European Flipside Sites.

There are still a few teething problems with some of the changes, but on the whole the site runs pretty smoothly and is fairly easy to navigate.

You have to register to play the games and you have to give yourself a screen name so you can be recognised by the other players.

Most games on the site have a chat room so you can have a natter while you are playing.
There is a buddy list so you can keep track of when your mates are on the site and what games they are playing.

When you select a game to play it opens up in a new window. Your Flips are added to your account when you close this window.

The site really has four sections, Uproar, Word Games, Classic Games and Virtual Vegas.

Uproar.
The Uproar part of the site contains 4 TV game show type games, Blankety Blank, Family Fortunes, Catchphrase and To Tell The Truth.

Word Games.
The Word Games section only has two games, Wordox and Puzzle a go go. Wordox is very similar to scrabble except you steal points from the other players. Puzzle a go go is very similar to hangman. Beware both are highly addictive.

Classic Games
There are about 40 different games on this part of the site. I?m not going to list them all as you can look for yourself, but they are all standard type games such as solitaire, dominoes, pacman, backgammon etc.

Virtual Vegas
On this part of the site there are about 25 Casino type games such as slot machines, poker, roulette, bingo, blackjack and scratch cards. Personally I find these types of games pretty boring but they are a good way of getting a lot of fli
ps in a short space of time.

The word games in my opinion are by far the best games on the site although they do seem to cause problems with the memory of my computer. I can play ok but when I come away from the site I often end up having to reboot my computer.

As I said earlier you play for flips which can be cashed in for entries into prize draws. There are some great prizes to enter for such as Nintendo Game Cubes, MP3 players, Cash, CDs and Videos. Up to now I have never won anything but hey you never know.

I find that the chat part of the site is a little bit small. I feel like I need a magnifying glass to read it sometimes and often end up typing in capitals (even though that is considered to be shouting) just so I can read it.
Apart from that I would thoroughly recommend the site. I think there will be more changes coming in the next few months as the UK site is still not as good as the others so watch this space.
