Advantages: Seems quite accurate
Disadvantages: Not so good for a monthly vew
The Weather Channel is a website that - unsurprisingly - gives info on weather forecasts.
There are, of course, quite a few websites that offer this, but I've grown to like the Weather Channel.
Things I like:
* It's easy to search for a given geographical area. You can do this by post code, or by entering the name of a city of town. If there's more than one match for a town, a choice is presented from which you can narrow down the place you're looking for.
* It will remember your last three searches, which can be useful to use on future visits.
* You can view the forecast in one of four ways: today; tomorrow; 10 days; next month.
* The "tomorrow" forecast can be displayed in general, or on an hour-by-hour basis. This can be quite accurate. When planning a summer birthday party one year, it showed rain from 4.00 pm. We brought the party forward slightly, and were able to clear the garden from 3.30 pm. It started to rain at 3.55 pm!
* The 10 day forecast is useful for an overview for the next week or so. Obviously, the forecast can change over this period, but it can give a good idea of the general weather coming up.
* The month view is less useful. It actually shows the 10-day data, and then historical averages for the rest of the month!
Summary: A useful tool
