This is an excellent web site, the concept of the site is similar to the yellow pages, but this site is much more easier and it’s at your finger tip, so it’s your online directory whenever you want to use it.
I often find myself ringing yellow pages to find the number of a good restaurant, even good insurance companies, this site will do all this for me. In a matter of seconds.

You can discover local services and stores, examine property prices, nearby schools and your council's record, search classified ads and entertainment listings and much more.
However, there’s a lot more than you can do, this site is heaven for finding out everything you need about your county.

You can place a classified ad:
for property, jobs, used cars or other items in our classifieds pages.

You can even check the school league tables :
and check out the latest rankings on primary schools, secondary schools and sixth forms in your local area.

Property prices
What are houses worth in your neighbourhood? Take a look at our Land Registry data for the low-down.

Local council
Check out what Council tax you can expect to pay and how your local authority performs

You do not have to sign up to be a member, just enter your post code and small map with a map will appear with some links. If you do not know the post-code because you are unfamiliar with the property and are just doing some research, there’s a link on the site to Royal Mail post-code finder.

When your results will appear there will be three lists:

Local Information:
With information on a variety of topics such as Property prices, Find My Nearest...™, What's on..., ACORN© profile, Council performance, Contacting your council, Education, Policing and crime, Member of Parliament. I was really impressed by the range of information. It was really good and helpful. You find so much information
about local area where you live.

Classifieds
You can find what ads people have placed, this can range from a boiler to houses. You actually find houses on the market really near you. Very good free service if you want to buy a house or anything else from you local area.

Find my nearest….
This is the easy way to find a business, a restaurant etc. The results are very good and you will get a list of all the local take-away etc near you. A very good service.

The site is well laid out, homepage is quite simple, the content is excellent and is definitely worth having a look at. The only problem with this site is that it does take a wile to open up and makes an awful noise when I open the page!

But other than that no complaints here, move over Yellow Pages!

Summary:
