It is far easier to get your forum/website noticed if it's on Vbulletin because your URL will be www.namehere.com/forum rather than www.boardhostname.webpagename.com as is found with other forums! Being an avid reader and contributor on many different forums, I have always found vBulletin to be the easiest and nicest to use. The layout of the boards is simple and easy to read, with many different customisable features including new post buttons, board colour, avatar and signature sizes and the option to have a home page that isn't linked to another site (so you can have your own website without needing to buy a domain and a forum). vBulletin is a script/piece of software that allows you to set up forum own discussion forum (you can see mine at www.computalk.net). The software has two licenses, leased (year long) and owned (lasts forever) so if you think your forum might not catch on then you can only get a leased. The vBulletin site itself is very good, easy to navigate and simple to order add-ons or to download updates - the support is also very fast, knowledgeable and helpful. The vBulletin software is top quality . The installed process takes longer than expected as you have to manually edit the config file, but once it is installed it is the perfect forum ... Forums are great places to exchange information, particularly about special interest subjects and ... Read the complete review

vbulletin is one of the best paid forum providers there is. It is very feature rich including things you do not get from a free provider. I started off thinking free forums were ok to use however after taking the huge leap to the amazing vbulletin i now realise how much time i wasted with the free ones. As well as the forum you get exclusive access to vbulletin.org where there is a special forum full of help, guides and tips. All the friendly members help and many produce free modifications for your forum such as avatar mods all the way through to moderation tools. Vbulletin also provides a blog feature you get when you pay for the package. It costs ... Read the complete review

--Background-- vBulletin.com provides a great forum software and it one of the most popular and most advanced forum scripts out at the moment. It is very professional looking and is secure and can easily grow with out any problems and not slow down and break as your forum gets bigger and bigger. vBulletin is developed using php and MySQL which are both very popular and secure. php is the code that the software is written in and MySQL is the database software which actually stores all the settings for the forum and all the posts, users and all the other information about the forum. --Licenses-- It is a very feature rich paid ...
