Disadvantages: The odds aren't always going to be better, they don't let you look at odds without logging in.

Victor Chandler offers some of the best odds on the internet. It may not be one of the most well known bookies in the country (well, maybe it is for all I know, I'd never heard of it until a few weeks ago), but it looks like one of the most worthwhile online ones.

The first thing that irritated me when I wanted to start on the site is that it doesn't let you look at the odds on any of their sports or events until you sign up. I know it's free to sign up and that you don't need to make any deposits if you don't want to, but it's still a bit irritating.

Once you sign up, though, you'll realise it was worth it. The layout can take a little while to get used to, with Hierarchical lists of bets in whatever sport you're looking at, but once you've got used to it, you'll start to enjoy the format.

If you search through a lot of different sites to get good odds before placing bets, you'll often be irritated by the fact that many different Bookies give identical odds on the same event, so it's nice that Victor Chandler often disagrees with the others. It doesn't mean that it always has better odds, but it means that you'll quite often find that for at least one of the outcomes there'll be something good on offer here.

An example is the upcoming General Election. Ladbrokes, Bet247 and William Hill all offer 10 to 1 odds on the Tories getting the most seats at the next election while Victor Chandler offers 14 to 1 odds.

Victor Chandler is one of the most professional and user friendly online bookies around, and gives some great odds. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who only wants to find one bookie, but if you want to compare the odds online, make sure you take a look at this site.
