In our local neighbourhood meeting, the issue of litter came up. So when I was looking on the Internet I came across wastepoint.co.uk. It was a really helpful website and from which I found where our local waste recycling centre?s where.

It has just been re-designed to make searching for your nearest recycling point even easier. You can now search simply by entering the name of your town. Results are instant and you will be sure to find your nearest recycling points.

Wastepoint.co.uk also has a sister website wasteconnect.co.uk and together they provide an excellent tool for searching your nearest recycling centres and for providing information. For example, wasteconnect.co.uk provides you with data for:

Background on wasteconnet?.
The WasteConnect services is a collaborative project between E4Environment and InvestE Ltd.
E4Environment is an independent environmental consultancy specialising in Waste Management. InvestE is an IT consultancy, themselves having a wide understanding of environmental issues.
The combined expertise of these two companies has resulted in the development of WasteConnect, containing in excess of 23,000 records of recycling and re-processing centres within the United Kingdom.

The site is extremely easy to navigate and well laid out. Décor is simple and there is more of a focus on providing accurate information that on any fancy designs.
