Newest Review: ... A good sign? THE LAYOUT: The site is just a bunch of links with adverts around it and it is pretty cluttered, but that isnt necessarily a bad thing. Not a good thing either but I could still see what I wanted and had no problems locating things I was after (my choccy biccies :)). You are also treated to a rather novel feature by each link where they show symbols to tell you how good that particular freebie was (with a rating out of 5 diamonds and a question mark if it didnt arrive). Not a bad little idea that seems good enough. THE CATEGORIES: Upon closer inspection, you find that the site contains a few sponsors and then catego... more

I read an opinion by a fellow Dooyoo member earlier and it convinced me this site was worth a look. Now, I'm not one for going to 'freebie' sites but who can turn down 'actual merchandise' and 'free box of chocs' etc... ? Well, this is what I found. THE IDEA OF THE SITE: This site was designed to offer free goods that were available in the UK. A vital part being that it is a UK site for UK people. OK, good in principal then. The site is really just a bunch of links to other sites where this 'Free' stuff is available. It's not a novel idea, there are many of these sites out there, although many of them are ...  Read the complete review

Uk_Freebies proudly boasts the following on it's opening page; "This site contains items that are Useful, Have some sort of value and have already been received". Well I was impressed. The thing that makes this site stand out from the usual mediocra Uk freebie sites is the fact that it offers a HUGE collection of 'Real Life' freebies, you know, the ones that drop onto your doormat every few days if you're lucky. Now that's what I call a real freebie...none of this free email and online services lark or computer software etc. Yes they may appeal to some and have some actual use (you'll find a huge selection here incidentally)...fair ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review website.lineone.net/~uk-freebies: Not a lot here! (117 words)

http://website.lineone.net/~uk-freebies - This is one of the worst freebie sites I have seen for a while. On the home page (which takes abslutely ages to load) It says that it is updated regularly and is one of the best freebie sites around. I totally disagree as it has not been updated since October 2000 therefore most of the freebies on it are pretty old and many of the offers have now closed. This site also uses frames which I don't really like either. I enjoy getting whatever freebies I can so this site was pretty useless to me, however it might suit someone who has not visited that many freebie sites. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review website.lineone.net/~uk-freebies: Free On-Line Giveaways. (311 words)

There is a free give away site on the Internet named “Freebies R US” with the URL address: http://www.freebiesrus.co.uk The idea of this site is that anybody can advertise (for free) any item they no longer want and then to give it away to anybody that wants it. Surfers can then search the site and look for items either by type or location and if they find an item they want they then contact the person giving it away by e-mail and arrange to collect it from them or have it sent to them. This seems a great idea as we all have items laying around the house or in the attic or garage that we no longer want and would be quite happy to ...  Read the complete review
