Wikipedia is an internet encyclopedia resource which allows people to add new information as and when they wish. This online encyclopedia has been around for a number of years now and I find it a very useful resource, for both work and pleasure. I would have to say that I use it on a daily basis and think that it is invaluable to me. The difference with Wikipedia is that anyone can add information to the various pages of data. Launched in 2001, Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia with a difference. The difference being the way in which registered users can upload their own articles. This unusual way of compiling its pages has led to critics accusing the site of being an unreliable source of information. Wikipedia is a site that provides information about a number of subjects, it can be very helpful but very, very, very unhelpful. Wiki covers thousands, millions of things that people need to know and with a quite a stylish page everything looks pretty good from where you are standing (or sitting), but stop, if you are currently doing your G.C.S.E's or attending collage, don't use this site. The site has an option on all pages for users (who are signed up with Wikipedia) to edit pages (after a 24 hour wait). Now if you ask me, I don't think that the whole of the UK knows about everything all the time (some people might have an alternative story to the real one). ...
