What do you need to find out? Is it a fact to prove to someone to finish what seems an everlasting argument? Is it some college coursework that you just cant finish without knowing a vital detail? Maybe you just want to learn a new and exciting bit of knowledge every day. Whatever you need to know however, wikipedia is the way forward!

Wikipedia is one of the most plain and unexciteful websites. Its almost like a broadsheet newspaper when you first see it. Howevre it is full to the bring of top (and some not so top) information.

I remember using this site many times when in college. I needed to know the basics of how certain acoustical factors hit different frequencies, and to be honest, I was stumped. I couldnt find anything on the web that could even begin to help me. Suddenly I found wikipedia. It had EVERY detail I needed to know. It started off basic, but I must say it ended up very confusing going very deep into the subject.

This is where wikiepdia is perfect! It can have every last bit of detail needed for whatever subject. It will include pictures and even external links for people to get more resources. Along the side of the page it includes extra basic information in an easy to read table format. The menu even includes a 'Random Article' link, so if you ever do get bored, you can learn something new daily!

This website is the perfect resource, but it does come with a few warnings. The first I will add is that ANYONE can add to it or edit it. This means you cant completely trust whats written as its simply what someone has just added. I even know of some people who have deliberately changed things on there to make them wrong and added jokes to the pages which ruined it for many others.

Secondly, as it can go deep into a subject, and I mean very deep, it can be hard to follow as it can seem all very 'geeky'. Its always best to try and get the basics, and then find another resource to compare just to make sure it is good, reliable information.

For the every day knowledge or research needed however, I must say its perfect being just a click away! One of my personal bookmarks!

Summary: With almost anything on there its a great resource!
