writtenbyme.comNewest Review: ... at. The quality of the articles available is amazing. Plus for poets like myself, it is an ideal place for us to showcase our creations. It filled the gap left with the demise of Themestream. The feedback is often of a high quality, although this is obviously dependent on the critiquers personal tastes. I try to rate fairly, even on articles that I may disagree with. What is nice is that there are options in the ratings categories, so that you can rate particular aspects of each article. Overall - one thumb only ok good excellent absolutely sensational Agree - strongly disagree disagree neutral agree strongly agree Writing an... more |

Despite recent changes in the way that the site operates, I still think writtenbyme.com is one of the best sites (along with Ciao) on the net. The two are not really comparable because Ciao is a consumer site and Writtenbyme is more of a site for people to post their writing, more for exposure of their work to others. Over recent months they have included categories which allow consumer-type offerings but that, I think, has been because members have requested it. The thing that makes Writtenbyme so great is the community of writers that make up its membership. I have read articles that have been featured on the home page, in topics I might otherwise not have looked ... Read the complete review

I thought I had found it…another site like Dooyoo! A site that would pay me for my opinions, after all there has to be more sites like this out there it’s just a case of finding them. I found http://www.writtenbyme.com on a link from a freebie site, and I thought all my Christmases had come at once. This site pays you in Deweys, which is the same sort of thing as Dooyoo miles. “Nice one” I thought. I’ll copy all my opinions that I have posted on Dooyoo, change them around a bit and post them onto this site and earn myself a quick buck. Ha Ha serves me right for trying to cheat. I posted my first ... Read the complete review

It's exactly twelve months this very evening since dave27 made his debut as an opinion writer, with a somewhat flimsy and feeble article on Ciao. In the year since then, there have been 700 opinions on Ciao and another 249 on Dooyoo. Such wonderful milestones as these demand something special to commemorate them and what better subject matter to mark this very special occasion than an opinion about opinions. And so, my dears, I give you this special commemorative opinion for you to have and hold and put away carefully in bubble wrap packaging upon your mantelpiece to look back on admiringly in the years to come ... my subject on this very memorable ... I was sitting happily watching the Eurovision song contest when I heard the familiar sound that signified I have new email. Dragging myself away from the compulsive viewing that was the Eurovision I managed the short walk to the PC to see what it was. It turned out to be an email from writtenbyme announcing a massive change in the way they work. However, for me to tell you about the change I am going to have to tell you how writtenbyme used to be. Writtenbyme is a site like Dooyoo where you write your opinions on things. Unlike Dooyoo however, writtenbyme claimed to be a writer’s site. It wasn't for consumers to read reviews of products they wanted to ... Read the complete review

OK So you've got the hang of DOOYOO - The dooyoo miles are mounting up, where else can you look to show off your writing skills and earn some money in the process? FIRST FOR ANY OF YOU UNDER AGE OR LIKELY TO INTRODUCE YOUR CHILDREN TO WRIITENBYME - SEE MY WARNING.... WRITTENBYME is one option, but don't dare think it will be easy to make a fast buck or two. First off, you don't get paid in cash (but then you don’t initially at dooyoo) - you are awarded `dewey points'. For each article you write you are paid 10 points and you get another point each time it is read. The exchange rate for these `deweys' is around 1000 = US$30 ... Read the complete review
