I thought I had found it…another site like Dooyoo! A site that would pay me for my opinions, after all there has to be more sites like this out there it’s just a case of finding them.

I found http://www.writtenbyme.com on a link from a freebie site, and I thought all my Christmases had come at once.

This site pays you in Deweys, which is the same sort of thing as Dooyoo miles.
“Nice one” I thought. I’ll copy all my opinions that I have posted on Dooyoo, change them around a bit and post them onto this site and earn myself a quick buck.

Ha Ha serves me right for trying to cheat.

I posted my first opinion on written by me and then went to have a look around the site.
Really I guess I should have looked around the site first, but that was too easy.

This site has obviously been up and running for quite a long time because their payment for Deweys scheme has been suspended.

You can still post your opinions on this site but you will no longer be paid for them.

The site was supposed to pay its members a proportion of their earnings from advertising. However they put out a statement on August 13th 2001 basically saying that they are not earning as much as they anticipated from advertising, so the payout scheme is suspended.

They are still counting Dewey’s though as it gives you some idea of how many times your opinion has been read.

The site really doesn’t measure up to Dooyoo standards and I am not really very impressed with the membership and rating systems.

As a new member you can read other peoples opinions but you cannot rate them. There are varying levels of membership from Newbie to Gold Membership. You have to be at least a Bronze member to rate opinions.

To become a bronze member you have to be a member for two weeks, post at least 4 opinions and get at least 3 thumbs up ratings or more.

The ratings system is
a little odd.
You get a rounded up average of thumbs up ratings from readers. It gets a bit complicated so if you are really that interested go take a look and work it out for yourself.

The Site has some nice features however some of which could be incorporated into Dooyoo
One feature that I do like is being able to pull a quote from your opinion. This is meant to catch the attention of the reader and make them want to read the whole opinion.
It definitely improves the look of the page.

The range of Categories available to write in are fairly wide and I have read some fairly interesting opinions on this site.

If you write opinions for the love of it and not for the rewards then this site may be for you. If you only do it for the money then forget it, as you are not going to get paid.
