WWE.com is the official website for the sports entertainment company "World Wrestling Entertainment". It serves as both a promotional and informational platform for those interested in the show. Since its launch in 1995 it has grown to have a strong online presence. Alexa traffic research ranks the website as currently being the 595th most accessed site in the world. In the United Kingdom it is the 441st most accessed website.

WWE.com is often the first stop for fans and interested parties alike. It offers users results from previous events, promotional material for upcoming events, news, games, photos and other multimedia related to the product. The homepage contains a sliding feature with the most recent headlines, each accented by a photograph contributing to the article being presented. Both to the left and top of this feature are menus which consist of various links to other points of interest within the WWE domain. I find the website to be very easy to navigate and am able to find information which is of interest to me at the time of logging on. One layout issue I've experienced is the poor visibility of some of the product's more branded subdomains, such as WWE Kids and WWE Parents. These links rest at the bottom of the page and are slightly out of sight when considering the highly visible state of other links related to shows, superstars and their merchandise.

WWE.com is very image oriented. Numerous objects load at the time of accessing the website and this creates a slightly longer load time. Independent testing suggests that the homepage requires 5.9 seconds to load when using a broadband connection, and I find this number to remain fairly consistent with the rest of the domain. As the website is one which requires numerous clicks to arrive at a more specific destination, such as the current superstars of a certain WWE show, it's possible that some users may seek their wrestling related information elsewhere due to the slightly longer wait. I personally don't find this to be too much of an issue but it is a noticeable one when browsing around.

Overall, WWE.com meets my expectations of what to expect from the product and provides me with information I require relatively quickly. I would happily recommend it to fans seeking to keep up to date with the events of World Wrestling Entertainment.

Summary: Thumbs up
