Disadvantages: Stephnaie Mcmahon Helmsley is not a diva!

After following wrestling for nearly a year now I thought I might as well write about one of the websites that I have been visiting at least twice a week throughout the past year. It is www.wwfdivas.com. This website is about the women of the World Wrestling Federation. There are nine women wrestlers featured on the website.

First thing to do is to type in the www.wwfdivas.com in the Internet address bar and press enter. This loads up the site. There are many things you can do around the website, first of all I will take you trough the WWF women superstars.

Clicking on every women wrestler then brings up new menu you can look at their photos, videos or find out their latest news.

CHYNA – The Ninth Wonder of the World Chyna (Joanie Laurer) first entered the World Wrestling Federation in 1997, Chyna is known for her physical strength as she has the ability to dominate matches against of women. The highlights of her career include her being the first woman ever to compete in a Royal Rumble, which she did in 1999 and even becoming the first ever female Intercontinental champion. She is currently the WWF women’s champion after winning against Ivory at Wrestlemania X-seven. Chyna has also appeared in men’s magazine playboy, naked! Chyna has also written a book, called if they only knew, she has been out of action for a while and I hope we see her back someday soon (only so she can lose the WWF women's title to Lita).

IVORY – 3 time women’s Champion Ivory (Lisa Moretti), thanks to Steven Richards is now the latest member of right to censor. For those who do not know the right to censor are people who believe in doing what is right and they try to censor anything they can. They managed to censor Mr Ass (Billy Gunn), he lost his match so he had to change his name, and he is now the one Billy Gunn. On this website however she has not been able to censor her pictures, which to some people is a good thing. Th
ankfully Ivory lost the women’s title she won to Chyna at Wrestlemania X-seven, and now because of the WCW/ECW invasion the right to censor haven’t had any presence for a while.

JACQUELINE - 2 time women’s champion Jacqueline Moore is one of the toughest female wrestlers. She is not a superstar I know much about as she has not really made any memorable appearances that I can remember.

LITA – 1 time women’s champion Lita (Amy Dumas) is certainly one of the most popular female wrestlers and one of my favourites. Lita started out in the WWF with Essa Rios, but soon teamed it with Matt and Jeff Hardy (the Hardy Boys) and formed Team Xtreme. Lita is usually at ringside when either Matt or Jeff are fighting and help them win when she can. She has been involved with the TLC matches trying to help the Hardy boys win. Matt is now her on screen boyfriend, and she is involved in many inter gender tag team matches with him and Jeff. Lita has been involved in many important matches with the WWF including the one at invasion on July 22nd 2001 where she and Trish Stratus took on the WCW pairing of Stacey Keibler and Torrie Wilson in the first ever tag team bra and panties match in which they won.

MOLLY HOLLY – The newest female wrestler in the WWF, she has been involved in a love story with Spike Dudley which ended up with Molly’s cousins and Spike’s brothers having many matches and beating each other up. Until finally the Dudley’s went to ECW gave Spike a broken leg by putting him through a table and then putting molly through one whilst Spike watched. Nevertheless, they are still together. Molly Holly has only just been added to this site and it was a long wait, the only problem is that she is wearing the same thing in most of the pictures as she always appears in the same clothes.

TERRI – Terri has been involved many times in the WWF recently not in many matches but with her boyfri
end Perry Saturn. As he is totally unaware of anything going on anymore after receiving multiple headshots night after night and is now obsessed with a mop. I think since I have been watching it I have seen Terri in about 5 matches so she is another wrestler I do not know much about.

TORI – She is a superstar who has been in the WWF for well certainly much longer than I have been watching wrestling. She has made a few appearances since I have been watching but that was when she had her face covered up and was Ravens sidekick who helped him win matches and drive of in the car with him when he won his hardcore title matches. Since it was uncovered that it was her, we have not seen her in the WWF but I am sure she will be back sometime as she is still doing things with the WWF e.g. the WWF divas magazine.

TRISH STRATUS – Trish Stratus is one of the hottest WWF Divas. He teamed up with Test and Albert creating T&A until about 3 months ago when Albert got rid of test. After that Trish then began having an interest in Mr McMahon, this led to a storyline between her and Stephanie McMahon Helmsley to prove who the dominant female of the WWF is. Trish has been involved in her share of important matches, one at Wrestlemania X-seven when she slapped Vince across the face (not a match but it was during Vince’s match) and then again at Invasion where her and Lita picked up the win for the WWF in the first ever tag team Bra and Panties Match.

Ok now what I wrote above may not interest many people or make any sense but it tries to give you an idea of what each wrestler has been doing. Moving onto the website now. For each WWF Diva there are 3 sections:

PHOTOS – This is where photos of the WWF women are; the pictures are mainly of these women wrestling in the ring in their matches, or other pictures, which have been taken in a proper photo shoot. The also only normally put on the ones where cleavage is being shown or it i
s a sexy photo shot.

VIDEOS – All you need to do is choose the woman who you want to watch the videos of and click on videos. The videos are of the best things, which they have done, I suppose. Lets take Lita for example, now there are some videos from when she first started well after her time with Essa Rios. They include videos such as when she and Matt hardy kissed in the ring, her and Trish in a street fight, and her entrance video. There are ten videos of her in total but the amount varies in each wrestler depending on how long they have been in the WWF.

NEWS – Once again click on the wrestler you want, but click on news this time. This brings up the latest news about that superstar and it is always up to date. I looked at Trish on Wednesday (July 25th) and found put what she did on Raw is War Monday night (July 23rd) and that was that she had had a spanking match with Torrie Wilson. This is very useful if you want to keep up to date with your favourite female wrestler(s).

Now if all this is not enough for you then the WWF Divas site still has more on offer for you. If you look along the top of the website you will see 5 extra links, Diva Chat, The Goods, News, New York and Hedonism.

DIVA CHAT – Well this is a very hard section for me to write about, as I have not been able to use the chat option for some reason. Every time I try it just doesn’t load up, I can get on all the other WWF chat though, I can chat about the rock on rock.com or stone cold Steve Austin on stonecold.com I just can’t seem to get on divas chat though. It really is annoying so I do suggest you do not bother with it. If it is like the other WWF chat then it is not worth using as you get people on there who don’t even like wrestling just annoying everyone. If I want to chat about my favourite WWF woman wrestler I use AOL chat or another chat source, but by all means do try and use it if it interests you and I hope it wo
rks for you.

THE GOODS – This takes you straight to www.wwfshopzone.com, it takes you straight to the divas section of the site. There are many things here, which you can by, for example, there are magazines with the women wrestlers in, videos, books, clothes and even the WWF divas magazine. The good thing is though if you didn’t know about the www.wwfshopzone.com then you are in luck because not only can you get stuff from the divas, but from all the top wrestlers like Triple H, the rock and the Hardy boys. If there is a pacific item you want to buy, you can use the search option. You can also sign up for the free newsletter, this tells you about the new products which have been added to the site and if you like them you can go and take a look.

NEWS – This is general divas news, so it has the recent news about what the divas have been up to. At the moment because of Invasion and the events leading up to it the latest news is only about Lita and Trish, with the very latest one being about Trish being spanked by Torrie Wilson on Raw. There are also older items, which are below the latest stories; one for example is Jacqueline beating up Crash holly. Therefore, this is a great section to keep you up to date with what is happening with the women of the World Wrestling Federation.

NEW YORK – This page is really just a replica of the WWF divas site. It has all the same wrestlers except for Molly Holly. Click on the wrestler you want and you now have the choice of photos or videos. The videos this time though are of that wrestler in New York, so they are well worth looking at. As for the photos these are pictures taken at photo shoots at, the Rockefeller Center (its spelt this way cause it American), the studio and Times Square, so if you have been looking at the pictures on the divas site then you will want to look at these New York ones as they are much better than some of the ones on the main site.

HEDONISM
– This is a special part of site. For the WWF Divas 2001 magazine the divas all went to Hedonism in Jamaica for a photo shoot for the magazine. On this part of the site once again, you choose the wrestler you want, you can choose from photos and videos once again. Some of the photos are ones, which were used in the magazine, but there are plenty, which were not so it is worth a look. The videos are of the actual photo shoot for example for Lita one is titled Lita in the water, this was for the shoot they did of Lita in the water and once again it is definitely worth checking out.

Overall, I would say this is an excellent site. It is well laid out, loads up very quickly on a 56k modem, there are plenty of divas to choose from and the pictures are very good and plenty of them. It is just to bad that Stephanie McMahon Helmsley is not a diva but then again she is not part of the WWF any more as she is the owner of ECW. This is a site well worth checking out even if you are not a fan of the WWF.
