“ Provider of telecom and broadband packages to home and small business users „
We switched from BT to XLN a few months ago, not only did they save us money but their customer service is excellent, I've contacted them on serval occasional concerning my account, and every time they change for me promptly. Very polite and friendly, helpful staff. Can't fault them. Well done and keep it up. Will recommend to friends who run take away like mine .
When I first used XLN around 18 months ago I had great difficulty contacting the help line at weekends, although weekdays were fine.Since then I've had no problems with them and I'm quite happy to stay with them.No doubt the teething troubles from the companys early days are no resolved.
So far not a good experience, a week and a half after the official office move I still dont have the promised VOIP system or a fax line. The engineers even appeared at the old office a week after we had vacated to 'repair' the fault, no one appeared to understand that I wanted what had been promised, transer of an existing number to another site. I've been charged for a wireless router when I was told a wired router would be provided foc, the wireless isnt expensive and I'll happily pay however it wasnt in the initial agreement, I was informed I'd be supplied with a 'special' phone to facilitate the VOIP system-still dont have that. I have been passed pillar to post and around the houses for what seems to be hours on the phone ending up where I started without making progress. No answer to 2 of my emails asking for assistance from my initial 2 points of contact Ayden and Oscar (who initally were excellent, very communicative and helpful, however they have now ceased to be contactable). Poor Christine Oscar got an earful from me however she then sent a reply back immediately escalating my problem to faults department (hope that she has better luck than me). I'm sure when all the problems have been sorted this will be an excellent system and very cost effective compared to our old telecom provider.
i was going back to bt after 5yrs with xln but after having a chat with them with why i was moving (slow internet paying too much) they have put all this right and have been very helpfull. can not fult them at the moment well done xln keep it up
Hi yet another BT refugee here, I have returned to XLN as a previous customer in XLN`s earlier form as one bill. I dont know how I was tempted away by BT, ....The XLN experience is like a breath of fresh air, my setting up of phoneline and broadband migration has been seamless, despite having to escape 3 contracts with BT and complete vagueness about cessation date from BT. In particular thanks to Tabrez Alam of XLN. who, on a holiday saturday, (try calling BT on a holiday!!!) Tabrez took me by telephone, through the process of configuring my router, because I insisted on using my olld favourite machine!. and I am by no means technically competent, and to "top it off" I had a heavy cold so was not easy to understand. Also very impressed by my online account access which has it all there and continually updated. I think a minute spent there gives me more than the regular half hour or more waits in BT`s labyrinthine menu system. With the same ghastly overloud-overload upbeat music they havent changed since??? I think BT system must have been designed with Franz Kafka`s castle in mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Castle_(1994_film). Lastly financially I look to more than halve my monthly comms spend. Many thanks, Peter .
We have been with XLN for telephone service for a few years now. We swapped from BT who were charging us over £80/pm for a hardly used line that took mostly incoming calls- the switch to XLN took us to an average of £28/pm, which is an astounding difference. Their invoices are clear cut, simple to understand and have a multitude of ways to pay at any hour making life easier. The call centre staff have always been very helpful and plesant and the standard of service is very high. We recently swtiched to their calls and broadband package, which is excellent. The speed of broadband offered is ideal and what we were told was very close to what we recieve even at peek times, unlike that from our previous supplier. As a small business we would highly recommend this company.
As a sound engineer-audio is my field -so when my desktop computer needed repair from the local computer shop-I quickly hooked up my second unit which is linked to the router. I contacted techical services at XLN who took control of my computer and set it up so I couls receieve emails through outlook express/microsoft. With previous companies I always had the feeling they thought I was a dummy and should know how to do it! I was treated with total professionalism throughout. Thank you very much XLN .I would certainly recommend you. Philip Evans
Having been a telcom customer with XLN for some years with no problems- and moving premises- I decided to give their broad band package a go.I filled in the necessary doc on-line and submitted but no response. So 2 weeks later I phoned and spoke to an advisor who went through the package and took the order- I was told that the broadband team would be contacting me direct BUT no response as yet(4 days later) and NO confirmation of the order. Am currently not very impressed and hope for things to be made clear!!My rating will be for the broadband request and not the phone package which has always been first class- so sorry XLN for this low mark
I have been with XLN for several years now. I have read reviews complaining of service and hidden charges but it is beyond me why. Every person I have dealt with, in sales or customer service, has been patient and understanding and very, very helpful. As for the telephone service from xln, my only quibble would be the internet portal for VOIP which is not very well designed, or working very well. Yet for broadband, VOIP and landline they are exceptional value and they are always considerate of your change of circumstances. I have never had any problems with lines or delivery of service and new lines have been installed quickly. I always recommend them to others for cost effective business phone solutions and they are good at tailoring to your needs. Just a shame they do not do domestic lines as not had the best of experiences with companies like Virgin, Tesco, BT there. My businesses revolve around the internet, media and horticulture production
All I Can say is that I was with XLN for nearly four years and found the service was excellent and when I did have a problem with the Landline it was dealt with in 24 hours. I would highly recommend XLN. They are far superior to others in every way. The only reason I have had to leave XLN is the Landlord of my new premisses supplyies the telephone line as part of my lease and I am trying to persuade him to change.Thank you all at XLN. however, once I got through to an advisor, he was very helpful and did call me back on the mobile before I hung up the call, so he could check the line . (Problems with broadband). It was resolved with a new filter and a reboot of the router. I don't know how much that tech help will cost but I'll wait for the bill and go from there. First experience with XLN on a technical matter and overall was happy with the outcome but not the wait.
A whole catalogue of disasters with my mobile situation, this has not been a good experience. Spent many hours on the phone trying to sort it out - and lost money, left with no working phone for days and missed important customer calls. Not impressed with the Samsung either - that's being returned! scrolling difficult. Reception poor compared with old Nokia, even though still on vodafone.
hi have been with xln from september, a few hitches like my bills not going to the correct email address as of their typo error, resulting in promotional offer been withdrawn, after speaking to them have resolved this and am looking around as i dont like having to pay a charge for not having a direct debit set up, in times of a double double recession like every small business every penny counts and am seriously thinking of just using a mobile to get customers to call to on a pay as you go sim card, there is some cracking deals about. overall the customer service operators have been friendly and seem eager to resolve any issues.
If not the oldest XLN customer, I am one of the oldest one. I have my business line, home line and my Internet with XLN. Just the fact that I have been with them for such a long time shows that XLN is the best. I have recommended to many people and I shall do in future.
Having been an XLN telephone customer for a few years when I moved premises I decided to take a package that included broadband. Big mistake!!They came to alter my telephone number in the new premises to my old telephone number (so customers would know it automatically). This they did but on doing so they disconnected my existing broadband. This was on the 2nd April. After several telephone calls and three weeks later on the 24th April I was connected to the internet again. I then received what I would consider a threatening bill from them for a service I hadn't received.More telephone calls to XLN followed, all of which I am being billed for. There was only one person that assisted me and her name is Lorraine D. It has taken until 23th May to sort this fiasco out.Would definately not recommend to anyone.
