Disadvantages: Lots of links on the website for the same things - disguised as something else!

I saw www.xmas.co advertised on Dooyoo and as I’ve been scouring the net looking for ideas for pressies I went to see what they had on offer.

Well – let me say right away that I was really disappointed. I didn’t find a company called Xmas .co who were selling Christmas goods. What I did find was a website where 4 different companies have joined together to advertise their goods which they will deliver to you.

There are DVD’s, videos, Cd’s, books, games and stationery on offer from W.H. Smith. Lots of wine on offer from wineonline.co.uk. A range of gifts from Freeman’s and the facility to book holidays and Christmas breaks through travelagents.co.uk.

The website also offers you the opportunity to get some free e-cards, download a game, and get a free e-mail account.
There are also some other features for children that include games, being able to send a letter to Santa, jokes and a Christmas wish list.

Other categories include community –this covers things like parties, which is another opportunity to send e-cards and party invites, buy party packs of booze, guess where from? –That’s right wineonline.co.uk, send someone a gift- There’s a choice of gifts, books cd’ – wait a minute!! - I’m getting a touch of Déjà vu here!
Haven’t I seen this somewhere else on this website?
Well Yes -W.H Smith will send them for you, oh and Freeman’s have some too (Isn’t that a surprise).

There is another section that covers Alternative Christmas –can you guess what the alternative is? It’s going on holiday –book through . . . It’s getting to be a bit like groundhog day this, isn’t it?.

Well that’s enough about this site because basically it’s a waste of time. I cannot imagine why anyone thought this was a good idea. It’s a website with 4 links repeatedly dressed up as somet
hing else. They must think people are stupid.

In my opinion the only redeeming factor this site has is the fact you can donate money to various charities, from its pages. Oh and also there are some games and things for kids.
