Advantages: Great site, easy to navigate,
I can remember the first time I came across Yahoo. It was so new and hot. It had every thing well every thing that it could for the time. I mean it was the first time I had been on one page that had everything.
I can remember spending hours getting my yahoo page all set up. It had my local news and weather. That was the coolest. Anytime I logged in I could see what the weather was outside. I was living large.
Then they started to update it and include more thing for you to be able to use while surfing there pages. You could add many things current sports rankings for your teams, movie times, tv schedules just to name a few.
Then yahoo seemed to be stuck you know more worried about how much money they could make. They stopped updating there web page and focused on the things that make money advertisers. Then for a brief time there page was more adverts then it was information. Yahoo must have got a rude awakening when there stock price dropped making them virtualy worthless over night.
I gave them time during this time. They were having problems, people hacking there sites. Sending mass amounts of spam and just a bunch of other problems.
Then about 3 years ago I figured I would give them another chance. I signed up for a free email account. The user name I wanted was available and I was on my way. I signed up for stuff using that email and soon my email inbox was filled on a daily basis. I was so happy but then it happened it always does.
I signed up for something and waited for my confirmation to come to my email it never came. It seems that yahoo felt that it was spam and had prevented it from being sent to my email. Not by my choice but by there's. I was kind of upset by this but figured it was there way to protect me from spam and virus's
I continued to use yahoo and watched as they grew. They added more things to make there site even better. They now have a messanger and a tool bar. The messanger is for chatting and the tool bar is just wonderful you can see from a glance if you have messages and if any of your friends are online all from the tool bar. I was falling in love with yahoo.
I had taken a break from the internet and when I got back on a few months had gone by. Yahoo had continued to upgrade and add more items to there web page. As I logged into my mail account I was shocked when I recieved a instant message from someone on my messanger it was coming to my email inbox instead of to messanger as I was not logged in to messanger. I was so stoked I had begged for something like this for so long. The ability to chat from my inbox. I could chat with my online friends and never have to install another additional program. I would never have to use messanger again. I can be checking my email and chatting all at the same time.
I had my doubts about yahoo but for a free email provider they are tops in my book. I mean wow look at all the extra's you get with yahoo that you can only dream about with the others.
Summary: Great site for all your online needs.
