Yahoo is the best web portal that I have found. It has everything you could possible want e-mail, chat and instant messaging. The search engine although not good if your are looking for information on the rarer subject is great place to start any search. If you are looking for an online shop chances are you will find it here. Yahoo messenger, the yahoo instant messenger, has been facing a few problems lately but generally it is the best messenger I have used; it has all the features you could possible want, file transfer, voice chat it even has net to phone.

Yahoo also have a clubs section, you can find people with similar interest as your self and if you can't find a club on the subject you can create your own; this feature of the portal is great and really lets you develop a sense of community online.

The portal also has allot of other feature such as calendar, news, briefcase(file store)! It also has a searchable database of it's members so finding someone with similar interests as your self is never a problem. The e-mail section is reasonable for a web mail service, but if you want something special I would consider shopping around a bit as there are webmail services that offer more functions.

Yahoo also have a section on there site allowing you to play games online. If you have never done this I strongly recommend you have a go, it is just about the most fun you can have. It even allows you to chat with the other players while playing just about every card and board game under the sun.

If you are looking for a place you can call home on the net then yahoo is for you there services seem so personal and it really is a great place to start any surf, or just to chat. I highly recommend this portal it has every thing you could need and I think would be very hard to improve upon.
