Disadvantages: Some offensive comments that aren´t controlled by admins

YouTube has to be a website that I most commonly use everyday. It is a superb website containing many videos uploaded by members. You can head to youtube and sit there for hours just watching videos. There are so many different videos on every subject you could imagine. People do blogs about themselves that you can watch when they put new ones on. People record themselves doing wacky things as well as playing games.

Youtube is totally free and easy to join. You can easily sign up by entering a few personal details. Once signed up, you can upload your very own videos. They should not be more than 10 minutes long and they must be legal. No pornographic or violent videos can be uploaded and if they are, they are immediately taken off because videos are checked before they show up to the public.

You can find any video you want from someone doing a crazy jump on a bike to someone playing a computer game and doing something cool. All the videos are very interesting and it has become an enormous and successful website. It has even been integrated into modern day gadgets such as the iPod Touch. You can go on youtube directly from the main menu and watch videos on your iPod! It really is a great website and really fun to browse on. The layout is good and easy to follow and the community is pretty nice. You do get the odd idiots going around posting offensive comments, which to my surprisement aren´t controlled by administrators. However, you can delete comments on your video as well as give them a thumbs up or thumbs down, which can show who agrees with the comment that has been left. You can also rate videos on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.
