Advantages: free marketing tool

Disadvantages: abusing

Who doesn't know about youtube, I think this is one of the most visited site now. Its broadcasting yourself to the whole world with the used of camera and a computer, with the things you want to say or whatyou love to do most. All you have to do is sign up and make an account, then if you already have your videos ready upload them and wait for awhile. The uploading takes time, and the availability of your video takes I think 2 days before it can be broadcast. Right now its not just about ordinary people, even big record producers used this site as a marketing tool to reach people.
I think everyone knows how to use the site I would just mention some advantage and disadvantage of the site. These are for videos only and not about the social networking side of youtube, I'm not aware of that right now.
ADVANTAGES:

* Its free! You can upload as many videos as you want for free just make an account to them. Its a free promotinal tool for anyone who wants to be noticed and be famous.

* You can be updated, if you're busy and you still want to know what's the latest video of your favorite artist or you miss your favosite t.v show, you can watch it in youtube.

* It can be a marketing tool, of course if want to gain success with whatever you want to be then this is another place to market yourself and show the whole world what your talent is.

* Entertaining, you can be stuck for a while just watching videos.

DISADVANTAGES:

* Fake videos, this is where some people upload videos that are has tittle that you thought what you are looking for but when you watched it, its a fake one. So you have to be specific for what you are looking for.

* Low quality videos, Ok this is for those who record their favorite show using their home camera. Some obviously recorded the show on t.v and it will come out a little bit annoying because the sound is bad.

* A not so kiddie friendly site, youtube is an easy access site so mainly kids can really visit the site and take a look some of it. Even if they just want to look for something about cartoons, still some tags may lead to prohibited videos for them. There are screening process for videos but there are still some videos that I think got pass by by the screening people.

* BLACKMAILING and DESTROYING someone, if you want to take revenge or get even with your enemy then you can also use the site. You can edit the videos right? and upload bad things about people. This usually happened to famous people, specially if there is money involved.

Youtube can make you or break you, also it entertains you. For me, I enjoy the site because I can watch some shows that I wasn't able to see. Another good "invention" for people and another good opportunity for artist.

Summary: youtube.com advantages & disadvantages
