Advantages: very good "my account" section huge variety well monitored

Disadvantages: some music videos are banned

Youtube is a social networking site with a twist. The twist being that instead of sending messages and posting comments like you would on facebook. You post videos. Personally, I find Youtube extremely useful as you can literally find anything on it. From angry kids to how to play Guns n Roses on electric guitar. There has to be tens of millions of videos on the site.

So alongside its main part (videos), in the my account section of Youtube you can add friends, manage your videos and drop messages to fellow Youtubers. Obviously there are more features in the section such as; invite friends, subscribe to other "channels", create your own page. However, I find the most useful feature is "favourites". So if you find a video you find really funny etc. Just add it to favourites and you can share it with as many friends as you like.

The only downside to the website is that they recently banned unofficial music videos. Although to be honest most of them are still working ok so its not exactly catastrophic. If you are into gaming, then getting achievements (xbox 360) or trophies (PS3) is very easy as you can just watch the gameplay.

So, one of the best known websites of all time lives up to its reputation. Its well worth a look, whether its for some laughs or to work out the trick way to play that song you could never get the hang of. Or to be honest, anything else you want to see. Enjoy!

P.S, forgot to put in the main body of the review that videos can be flagged if they are unsuitable for all-viewers. Personally, I think this is a very effective way of keeping the site clean.
