Advantages: broadcast yourself, watch millions of videos, connect with other users

Disadvantages: site being turned into a money making giant, which is killing the sense of community etc

Youtube is a huge video sharing website which has been around for almost five years, the site has steadily grown for years, and has suddenly exploded in the last year or two and is now one of the most visited websites worldwide.

I personally came across youtube late 2006/early 2007 and thought it was a brilliant site in which a community of video bloggers unite and communicate with each other, i personally started creating and uplooading videos for youtube in 2007, and had a lot of fun for the year or so that i was video blogging, However only a year or so ago was it that i looked back on these videos and they were actually quite embarrrasing and as a result i took them down and haven't made a video since.

The features on Youtube include: Being able to upload/watch/rate/comment on videos and subscribe to video makers, there is literally billions of videos to watch, and hours upon hours of entertainment to be had on the site.

Advantages of youtube include being able to watch a huge veriety and selection of different videos, you can learn things from the site, being able to connect with other users, and being able to broadcast yourself to the world and having a chance to become internet famous.

Disadvantages of youtube is that the site has lost its awesome community feeling, where it used to be a network of video bloggers and kind people, where as now its been turned into a huge money making giant which has destroyed how youtube once was for the worst.

Overall Youtube was and still is a brilliant site, although its a shame about whats happening to the site just for the money, and i hope to continue watching videos on the site for many more years to come, i reccomend the site to anyone of any age as their is something for everyone here.

Summary: overall youtube is an excellent video sharing site (9/10)
