“ File share (images, documents etc) with a earning process per download. „
What is Ziddu?
Ziddu is a file & image sharing facility, with greeting cards you can insert photos in.
The premise is that you upload your file (legal of course) and send the link to your friends who then download said file from your link. You then get paid per download/view.
Ziddu also won website of the year in 2008.
What types of files can I upload and how much?
most file types are accepted, and you do get albums for photos/image files, video files and audio's. I cant find a definitive list, nor can I find a limit. However size does matter, as they allow more than 200 MB per uploaded file.
Payment types and getting paid?
OK payments are by US dollars (min $20 payment) by either Paypal or moneybookers. It seems (file wise atleast) you get paid $0.001 per download. The sites plastered with adverts, so I assume thats how they get the cash to pay us.
What will my friends encounter trying to download a file?
Well firstof all the link is very gamely, so using a shortened url link like Linkbee might help. Just for example of a link, heres a link to a pdf ebook Ive been sharing
first of all following the link without a pop up blocker is probably a dumb idea, as my system blocked 2 -3 pop up adverts. If you survive the pop ups, you get to a page which states the file name, type and size with 3 buttons for the user - Download, Share and Link. Click what you want to do. This page is surrounded by adverts, some of them may be more mature.
Clicking download takes you to another page stating the file size and requesting a verification code be put in (CAPTCHA style) and then you can (again) click download. Voila you now receive the download.
Its a little bit community minded in the fact it has friend lists, greetings cards etc.
Its a nice little service, quite simple to use, but can be a little annoying on the adverts sometimes.
