... very nice machine in pratically every way, but it does have some issues too. Super smooth because it is a full rotary machine. As most quilters dislike full rotary machines for making quilts, this can be a disadvantage if this is your primary purpose. Philips GC-4340 ... had this iron as a gift for a wedding present and it is fantastic! It has a great look with a large water container in the main unit which lights up bright blue when the power is switched on to ensure that it is never left on accidently which is a great feature! The amount of steam produced was a big factor for me having previously used a steam generator for an iron but this did not let me down, it produces lots of steam and has an anti-drip system which prevents your clothes from getting soaked! It comes with a great feature in the box of a heat-proof cover which can be attached just after ironing without having to let it cool which allows it to be put away and store... The Morphy Richards Turbo steam 40654 is nice iron. It has all the important functions . Weight: The iron is not very heavy in fact light weight. I always liked the heavy irons as it presses the cloths properly and removes the crease better. But for the weight it works pretty well. Singer Sewing Machine Automatic Zigzag Attachment ... this attachment is very useful for giving straight stitch machines a zig zag stitch, it does have it s limitations too...unfortunately. For instance if you want to overcast edges, you will first have to run a straight stitch line at your edges before using this attachment to overcast. The reason for this is simple: Since this tool moves the fabric from side to side it will shift your top layer to the left and not catch it in the stitch. Pinning the edges may seem like an obviouis solution, but in my experience the zigzagger will not walk over your pins because the presser foot is completely flat and not curved upward like a normal presser foot...of course you...
