I am a novice when it comes to sewing, so I'm guessing that a lot of people will say that it's not a very good machine! However as a novice this machine isn't too expensive and does exactly what it says and it does with ease. I chose this machine, mainly because I wanted a machine that could do button holes as well as a reliable brand. A sewing machine was one of those things that I always had access to growing up, but it was a cumbersome old, very heavy and practically antique Frister and Rossman.
