Domena SP4000 Steam Press
by thisismyopinion
I was told by my partner that she has seen something on the shopping channel and best of all I could use it too! Wanting to find out more, I asked for the details and found out we were having a conversation about a steam iron. I was interested and could see she thought that there was a good reason to buy one, at the time I though that ... this was because it was quick to use, makes ironing easier and produces good results, but it turned out that none of this was important to her as it was to me, rather that she thought I would find it fun to use and so would help her out with the ironing. She wasn't wrong.
After searching online for a steam press rather than buying the one on the shopping channel we came across the Domena range. That was over two years ago and I am still quite happy to do a share of the ironing. Why is this? Well, put simply, I can sit down whilst 'ironing'!
I am sure over two years ago we paid over £250 but you will be glad to know it is now available for around £180.
---I'm interested, tell me more---
The Domena SP4000 steam press has a large ironing surface which makes ironing adult clothes a breeze. There is a 750ml water tank which is more than enough for a large pile of washing this helps to produce 90 grams/minute of continuous steam. An important piece of information is that the ironing-plate is equal to 7 conventional irons. The machine offers 100lbs pressure which is effortless and can be operated with one hand.
---My experience---
Steam presses in general are an excellent idea. They certainly make the job of ironing much easier so they fit into a busy life well. I can only recommend this particular steam press as it is the only one I have ever had (unlike irons which I have had about 5 of in the past). As recommendations go this is one I have no trouble giving 5 stars to and letting people know that ironing doesn't have to be such a chore.
It copes well with my jeans, makes ironing my shirts laughable compared to how long they use to take with a normal iron - a distant memory now - and socks, well they never used to get done but now it takes no time to pop them under too (9 pairs at a time, in pairs too because it can cope with that kind of thickness).
This machine is still working after two years - exceptional value for money and the time it saves is priceless. It has helped me to help out more around the house I guess my partners review would sing its praises even more, for that reason alone. Read the complete review |
