Advantages: greap price

Disadvantages: heavy iron

I had an old iron which had finally given up working after a good few years, it would not heat properly and left my clothes with faint creases, which really started to annoy me. I finally read a few reviews as there are so many irons on the market and decided to purchase the Morphy Richards 40739 Comfigrip Iron.

Ironing has to be my least favourite household task but this iron tries to make it as easy as possible. The iron has a stainless steel soleplate so that the iron glides over the fabric perfectly, it also has a Tip Technology feature to make ironing a lot easier for you. The tip works as it releases a concentrated burst of steam, which allows you to get to those awkward to reach areas such as around buttons, in corners of shirts or in a skirt with pleats in for example.

The handle of the iron is cushioned for that extra comfort when you are ironing for a long period of time, which I need as I leave my ironing to pile up and do it all every weekend.

The water tank also holds 420ml of water, so you do not have to keep stopping your ironing to refill the iron. This Morphy Richards iron also had a fantastic cord length, which means that I no longer need to get the extension lead out.

If you are someone who is in a rush most mornings to be ready for work on time, then this is the iron for you. When you need to iron that work shirt in a hurry it heats up quickly and is ready to use in seconds.

The only disadvantage that I can find for this iron is its weight, it is a little heavier than my old iron, but once I got use to it, it was not a major problem for me.

This is not the best iron that I have ever used, as my mum has an expensive steam iron, but for the small £35 price tag I cannot complain as it does everything that I need it to do and leaves my clothes crease free.
