I bought this iron a week ago from Tesco for only £25, apparantly on sale £10 off the usual price. I had spent ages comparing the (nearly) 100 different irons down the aisle. I don't remember looking so closely into irons the last time I bought one but never mind. I finally chose the Morphy Richards Turbo Steam iron because of several reasons namely:-

- price was really good for the quality of the iron (£25)
- the water container hold 400ml - the others only contained between 280-300ml. This means you can iron for longer without refilling the water
- good length of cord
- ceramic plates - essential I think for glide
- shot of steam button
- filling beaker
- temperature indicator light
- 2 year guarantee

The colour is a quite nice as well.

I have been using the iron for about a week, the iron is so easy to use and it glides really well over my clothes.

DISADVANTAGES ...

The iron is really heavy when it is full of water which makes it really hard to use

I find that when I put the iron down, it has a massive burst of steam which made me jump at first but now it is just really annoying. This did not happen with my previous iron. As I have vowed now only to use de-ironised water so I think the iron is wasting water by releasing so much steam when I am not using it!
