ironing has never been so easy!
Member Name: stacey10304
Advantages: easy to use, lots of features, makes ironing easier and less time consuming
Disadvantages: more than I would normally spend on an iron!
I have never really seen much point in an expensive iron, I normally buy the cheapest one there is as I have always thought that they must all do the same job - right? I was wrong! I would ever have bought one of these for myself but I recently got one as a house warming present and now I am completely converted - I will never own a cheap value iron again!
This iron retails for around £50 and you can buy it from most good household appliance stores, I think my friend got this one from Comet at £49.99. You might not think thats very expensive but to me, that is a lot to spend on an iron, I would normally buy one from the argos value range. The iron comes in three colours - black, blue and red - I have the red one to match my colourful kitchen and I love it.
The Techy Bits...
The iron has lots of cool features and bits and bobs, most of which I never use but I will list its features and what it can do here anyway. It has a 40 minute continuous dry steam feature to help get those creases out of clothes such as jeans, and also has the ability to do steam shots too to get those really touch creases out. It also has lots of different settings on the steam so you can control how much comes out etc etc. it has a 300ml water tank inside which lasts ages so you dont need to refill it all the time. Before this I had never used the steaming feature on an iron before - what have I been missing?! its makes ironing so much easier! It also has a vertical steam feature - so this can be used to spray onto curtains so they can be ironed and refreshed without contact, and this is also handy for those really delicate fabrics that you dont want to burn with the iron! It has a non drip feature so you never get drops of water on your ironing or on yourself, the water inside can heat up to quite a hot temperature so it can hurt when you drip water from an iron on yourself - thats not going to happen with this one. My favourite feature about this is that it auto shuts off when it has been left unused for a while. I am terrible for leaving the iron on and forgetting to unplug it after use, and I know one of these days someone is going to burn themselves on an iron I have left switched on. This one however switches itself off, which is definitely something my usual bughet irons cannot do.
This iron has lots of great features but the best thing about it is how easy it is to use. There arent lots of buttons and everything is labelled and it is really easy to use - I didnt even need to get the instructions out. The iron itself glides really well over my clothes and gets the creases out in now time. After using the cheapest irons possible for most of my life I have now realised how much more extra work that was causing, this iron gets the creases out in half the time and the steam features on it are great. I always dreaded ironing jeans but this iron makes them so easy to do!
Overall I would definitely recommend investing in one of these if you need a new iron, I know they are expensive but its makes the job so much easier. Who knew I could ever talk so passionately about an iron?! Go and buy one, you will be amazed (or as amazed as you can be by an iron!)
Summary: great iron that makes the job quicker and easier
