I bought this iron and argos about 2 months ago to replace my old iron. It was not the iron I wanted originally, however I have been pleasantly surprised since I bought it.
For the current price (around £30) you are actually getting a good quality iron at a very reasonable price. It is a heavy feeling iron (1.7 KG) which suits me but I know it can be a little tiring sometimes when you have a pile of ironing to do.
The build quality of the iron is very good and it has a solid look and feel to it. It has an extra long cord which is aproximately 3 meters in lenght. It also has a steam glide plate which has lots of small holes in it to maximise this irons ability to glide and remove creases from clothes easily. It can be used with tap water and has an automatic anti calc system which is advantageous in hard water areas like mine. It also has a drip-drop system on low settings which stops the iron from depositing water and staining delicate clothes. The dials clear to read and also feel solid. (I've had irons before which feel as though the dials going to come off in my hand).
I therefore recommend this iron and think it is excellent value for money.
