Philips Easycare GC3340 ... got this iron for my mum (the least i can do when she irons so many of my clothes bless!)I bought this iron from argos about 1 year ago now, still is working great with no problems, thats what you get with a good brand and i expect it will last many years to come. i really likeed the colour of the iron. the cord is of a generous size. the iron has cut out alot of ironing time for me and my mum which is great for the last minute rush in the morning when i cant decide what to wear. the steam settings are quite simple and easy to use. its not a complicated iron, just does the job well without the hastle of long hours ironing. i have found this iron very good for family use... Philips GC 8261 ... Philips GC 8261 has made what is possibly my least favourite task a lot more bearable. When I mentioned to my husband I wanted a steam generator his jaw dropped when he saw that an iron could cost around £200 however I soon got my own way and it has turned out to be £200 well spent. The Techie bits and features - The GC8261 is a 2000w iron with 5 bar pressure steam and produces 120mg steam per second which can be boosted up to 150mg/second . These figures seem a lot higher than other generators in the same price bracket. The water tank can hold 1.4 litres of water and philips claim this lasts 3 hours of ironing. Philips GC7220 ... purchased this iron at the bargain price of £20 through the BzzAgent system, this is a word of mouth site that allows you to test products providing you talk about them to others. I had never had a steam generator iron before so i had no idea what to expect. When it arrived i thought it was HUGE! but once i had opened the box and had a go with it I realised that it was worth the extra cupboard space!
