We have now had our P2 for some time now and it has always been excellent. We were given some very useful advice from the John lewis assistants (I have found JL always to be very good). The stainlees steel sole plate is very good but does make the iron quite heavy compared to other irons. It has a very good steam facility which means you can steam iron clothes that are hanging up. Although expensive I think you do get a very good iron with only it's weight being on the downside.
we have had this iron for little over a year now and I am so happy with it. It glides easilly on fabrics it is not to heavy and not to light. It has a easy grip and nice feel and it is comfortable to hold for a long period of time (try 2 hours <g>) So far nothing has managed to stick to the iron (some thing that always happened with my preivous one)and it has not fiddly bits that gets caught in stuff. at close to £40 it is one of the more expensive irons (though not a mega expensive one) but I do feel that it is well worth the cost as it really has been worth its money. It also has a antidrip facility something I personally really like as you dont end up with wet patches anywhere. all in all a good iron well worth its cost.
