When it comes to something like an iron I am always one of those people who would rather spend a little extra to get a good product that will do a good job for me and take the risk that it might expire on me after a couple of years use rather than opt for a cheap brand that will not do such a great job and will almost certainly expire on me after a couple of years. Rowenta are a German company which is usually a sign of good manufacturing quality and this iron cost be a few pennies under £50 and to be honest it has been worth every penny especially as it gets through a fair bit of work in a week with the boyfriends work shirts and our gym kit as well as big items like bedding and towels. This is a good vcrtical steam iron that deals with creases really easy and is not too heavy when you are using it. I find the handle is really comfortable to grip and the ironing plate is not too large which makes it good for doing those tricky areas like collars and into the corners by the seams on shirts, it comes to a sharp point at the end which is ideal for corners and creases. It holds 300ml of water and the levels are visible through the body of the iron and there are never any drips once it is in operation. I have had this iron for a few weeks now and I must say I'm really happy with my purchase especially as it has a 2m cord which ives me plenty of room to iron without having teh board right next to the wall socket.
