I bought this iron when my last one failed and because it was near Christmas I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so when this one was on offer for £14.99 I grabbed it up straight away. It's your typical iron, you plug it in, it heats up to temperature and then you can iron. As usual the little plastic pot that comes with it to fill up the water is ridiculously small, so I don't use it, I just fill it up from a bigger jug. On the plus side though the flex is more than long enough to reach across the ironing board and get into all the little creases.

In terms of temperature, rather than lots of different settings for different types of fabric, you just get 3 different temperatures with this iron. I find that most things can be ironed on the middle setting, with only thicker things like jeans requiring number 3. As with all irons when you turn it on the light stays on until the required temperature is reached and then off you go. When full of water you can get steam or just spray a mist, like with all irons I've ever used. The base of the iron is made from a non-stick coating, which means that it never catches on your clothes when you're ironing and makes the whole process very quick, which is good because I have yet to meet anyone who actually likes ironing.

All in all a very good bargain basement iron, that does all the things you need an iron to do. Unless you're the type of person that requires an iron to have lots of bells and whistles on it, this has everything you could need to do your everyday ironing.
