I bought this iron on a special offer and ended up paying around fifteen pounds for the item which was a great deal baring in mind how the iron has performed. My iron came in a baby blue colour and has been really good so far , I have owned it for around six months , it heats up really quickly and is great if you are in a rush! The soleplate of the iron is actually pretty large so is really good because it covers a large area of the clothing so it can be done quicker and more effectively! I have not had a problem with it so far so can definitely recommend it . It is also pretty quiet and does not make much noise when the water is heating up. the only criticism I have of the iron is that the controls on the wheel in the middle are hard to understand , with unclear pictures so you do have to study the manual to fully understand the iron but good product overall.
I have gone through a few irons as it is really hard to find the perfect one that irons your clothes properly and quickly. I read quite a few reviews before buying this iron and it seemed a pretty good iron. It irons brilliantly and the steam glider is really good, especially on some items on clothing like my daughters vest i only iron on side as the steam does the other side.
The wire is long as well so its easier to iron as some irons the wire is short so you have a limited amount of room.
The settings are easy to figure out what they are and you can choose the temperature of the iron which is good as some items of clothing are delicate and you don't want to mark them or burn them. You can also turn the steam on or off, which is another reason this is the best iron i have had. It irons over the hardest of creases. The water tank inside holds a lot of water so you don't need to keep topping up. The design is really lively to looks nice and modern. The plates are wide then goes narrow so its easy to get into the smallest places. The iron heats up within seconds. The light goes off when the iron is ready to use and it makes a little clicking noise to tell you that it is ready.
We brought this in the sale for £16.99 and it was a bargain. Shop around to get the cheapest.
The iron also comes with a two year manufacture guarantee.
It is self clean too. Which is easy to do. I would recommend people to clean every four to three weeks, depending on how often you use your iron. This will avoid scale build up.
The first time you use the iron use an old piece of fabric to clean the plates and test the buttons.
Use water to fill the tank up as i have found the iron water that you buy in your local supermarket rots the seal away so the iron starts to leak.
The only problem i encountered when using this iron was that it was really hard to see how high i had filled the water because the purple is really dark so i had to sort of guess of how much i was pouring in.
This iron makes me want to iron as i hate ironing. It is so good to see the results after you have finished ironing. The steam is really good too. If you have a crease that will not iron out, spray a little water on the area and and iron over it with the stam on is fantastic the crease goes straight away. Works wonders on cotton and on denim.
