a great iron at a brilliant price.

An iron is one of those essential household appliances that very few people get excited about but you definitely want a decent one that heats up quickly and does the job without too much fuss, the tefal prima is a pretty good option.

Honestly when I bought it it was because it was a good price, around £20 and it was by a brand I had heard of so I figured it had to be better than the cheap supermarket own brand I had had before it.
I was pleased with the price of it and I bought it from argos although they no longer seem to stock it nor do amazon so it might not be all that easy to get hold of now. I've been using it well over a year and its still going strong.

As irons go its pretty average looking; white and blue plastic with a transparent water tank, white handle and white plastic dial to adjust the temperature. They also did it in white and silver I believe.
The metal plate on the bottom is a good size and has vents to allow the steam out and onto the clothes.
On the base is a rubber heel that stops the iron slipping when you have it stood on its end when not in use. It always feels nice and sturdy to me.
The iron isn't particularly heavy so its easy to hold and manoeuvre across your clothes.
There is no power button as such all you do is plug it in and a red light comes on to let you know that the iron is on and working. To use all you have to do is turn the dial to the correct material of your clothes and the iron adjusts the temperature to be right for that material and it does so pretty quickly, big thumbs up.
To use the steam you have to use the jug thats included to fill up the water tank which holds 300ml of water, more than enough to do a load of ironing. The water pours in easily and then it automatically uses the steam although you can also choose to spray the item of clothing with a steam shot which I find really handy for stubborn creases.

I find this iron glides well over clothes and effectively irons out creases pretty quickly. Ive never had issues with it burning any clothes when I use the correct setting on the iron. There are a good range of settings and the temperature always seems right for the material it says its for.

      Vital statistics-
      2200w power
steam output of 30g a minute
steam shot output of 85g a minute
      2m cord length
      Self clean feature
      Anti slip heel
      Water sprayer
      300ml water tank

      Final word-
Overall this is a great little iron especially seeing the price that I paid. It does the job well and has been reliable thus far. I've never used Tefal before and after using this I'd happily purchase from then again and recommend this iron, if you can get hold of it still that is!
5 stars as I've yet to find fault with this iron.
