Despite mine breaking, I would recommend this iron

I bought this iron after a friend recommended I buy a Tefal Iron as she'd had no problems whatsoever with them in the past. It was a great iron, not too heavy but heavy enough to get creases out of bedding and jeans. Steam was very powerful, and so was the waterjet. The cord was quite long so never had any issues moving around. I particularly liked that you could fill the water up through the back of the iron. I've had this iron for about a year now, but last night it stopped working in the middle of ironing a big pile of clothes! Tried changing the fuse to see if it was that, but that didn't work. So now I have to go out and search for new one this afternoon that will live up to the ironing capabilities of this iron. I was very pleased with this iron so am disappointed that it stopped working.

A great iron but a bit pricey

This iron was bought as a replacement for an older product. As the older Tefal iron had lasted well, quality and longetivity were to be expected from this brand. Both irons feature the same ceramic plate easy glide technology which is meant to reduce friction between the clothing and the iron to allow ironing to be as easy as possible.

The iron has a large capacity water tank which only needs filled every couple of days and that's for a whole family of four's clothing. The iron heats up very quickly and the autosteam is more than enough for most of your ironing needs but there is the option for a one off burst of steam of 120g.

There is a multitude of different settings for different garment materials such as satin, cotton etc but I have never adjusted this. The iron also features a self clean system and the calcium filter is removable very easily for cleaning.

The heavily marketed ultracord system is a bit overexaggerated, all it is is a locking bracket that holds the powercord either vertical as seen in the item picture or when unlocked, allows it to lie horizontal. The idea behind this feature is the keep the powercord out of the way whilst ironing and allow more free movement.

The iron is also relatively heavy but the easy glide ceramic plate and autosteam allow for the iron to be moved upon clothing very easily!
