Advantages: I have had this for 8 months and it still works great! And it was only £4!
Disadvantages: As with all budget irons, it takes longer to iron with small capacity and low power
When I first saw this iron, my jaw nearly hit the floor, how can an iron be made so cheap? Well by using incredibly cheap parts and by making it small. Small is good because you can take it to say, a hotel and use it there without taking up too much space in your case, but that does also mean it runs out of water fast.
It uses up water very quickly, and with its low capacity water storage, you can only do a little bit at a time, so it takes longer to do the ironing. It heats up quite fast though, within a couple minutes you can get going, which saves time, so here it's both good and bad.
I have had this iron for 8 months and I just use it for the family at home and so far it's been great, it hasn't broken down and still irons perfectly. The ease of use is great too, because it's lightweight and small so you can get right under shirt collars and into small parts of clothing.
I haven't found it particularly easy to get creases out fast though, this does leave behind creases if you glide over quickly rather than press down and slowly iron out the crease. The lid is slightly wobbly and has some play on the clip so you have to be careful not to push it too far when refilling.
It is very easy to use and is simple to set up, the instruction manual explains everything and each function is clearly labelled on the top of the iron, it's almost plug in and go, you just need to set the iron settings up, which takes seconds.
But honestly, for less than £4 can I really complain? No, I suppose not. It's good value and does what it's supposed to do, iron, but I really wouldn't mind paying a bit more for a better one next time.
Summary: Good budget iron, deserves four stars
