“ Brand: Avon / Type: Necklace „
I bought myself one of these, purely for sentimental reasons. When I was a child my mother had a costume jewellery ring that was this stone but square. It was huge and was so shiny and pretty. I used to stare at it when she wore it and always longed that one day t would be mine. I did eventually get it in my early teens, but over the years it got lost in numerous moves and is now no more.
Seeing this in my catalogue, it brought back the pang of loss regarding my ring. In a mad case of 2 year old symptoms 'I want this' I bought one then and there, I may have lost the ring but I would make up years of pain by buying a necklace that was the same. The necklace is a beautiful burnished metal, so it is a deep silver colour which has blue beads inserted along the necklace. It is truly beautiful even though I only bought it for the stone. The stone is a blue acrylic teardrop pendant attached to the necklace. It is a different shape than its original counterpart but it was not bought to replace the original, merely to ease the pain of my separation from it. The blue gem is light blue but has a deep slivery tinge to it which is beautiful when it catches the light. The necklace has little blue beads along it which sit nicely along the neck line. They catch the light nicely and add a little bit of sparkle.
I have worn this out a few times and it hangs nicely, sits close to the skin and has enough weight to it to hold itself. It isn't that heavy but it isn't extremely lightweight either. It is a lovely addition to my collection. It cost £5 which is a great price for a great item
This is my favourite piece of jewellery which I own, and the fact that it only cost me £5 makes me love it even more. It sits beautifully on the neck and has a range of sizes to look great on anyone and due to the style of the necklace you can also make it smaller and tighter on the neck if that's the look you wish. It's primarily a 3D blue pendent that sits on the end of a gorgeous chain which is interjected with smaller blue stones. It looks brilliant on and I've found it goes with just about everything.
I've had this necklace for several months now and the wear is particularly evident on the little stones on the chain, which have sadly lost their colour and are not a very dull silver. Not really what you want from a necklace after only a few months but I do wear it a lot. In addition to that a slightly bigger problem has arisen: the slight clasp keeping the pendant attached keeps coming loose and so the pendant falls off. That officially a bigger problem and definitely more of a sign of cheap jewellery more than anything.
But overall I'd still definitely recommend it to others (if it's still available to buy) as for £5 I've got more than my worth out of it and it still looks pretty good on... when I can get it on.
This is a great looking piece big enough to make a statement classy enough for a night out or can easily be worn dressed down too, its beautifully made with antique effect chain with dainty blue beads and a fab teardrop pendant, i wear mine often with denim and looks great. the pendant is a fair size and is fab value for money. as with all avon jewellry it has a money back guarantee if it isnt your cup of tea. My favourite bit of the necklace is the length of the chain its long enough to wear with a v neck dress / top and not look out of place. I often get comments on this necklace and asked where i bought it , only disadvantage is the little beads tend to catch in my hair other than that its perfect for a treat for yourself or as a gift for a friend or lived one.
Beautiful burnished metal necklace featuring facetted blue beads and blue acrylic teardrop pendant.
