      Very helpful

Great looking set of cufflinks that will get you noticed!

As part of my job I need to be dressed in a shirt and slacks and while it's usually a short-sleeved number, I get to on occasion wear a double cuffed formal shirt to work. As well as this I occasionally get to work with children, an opportunity I relish. Unfortunately they can find a formally dressed professional to be quite intimidating so I like to have little touches that can break the tension. One of the best of these is my pair of Bert & Ernie cufflinks.

I've no idea as to the cost of these as they were a gift from a patient a couple of years ago. I wouldn't imagine they're too expensive and I'm sure plenty of companies are offering a similar product. These cufflinks are rather simple and consist of a standard cufflink mechanism and an enamel front portion which contains a small picture of the famous friends.

The length of the bar is just about long enough for my thick shirts and fits my thinner ones easily. If you are a fan of thick fabrics you could be in trouble with these but if it fits all of mine you should be okay. The mechanism itself is quite cheap looking and in feel. I wouldn't imagine it'll be too long before I have to take them down to the jewellery repair shop to get them done. It's unfortunate as they're a quite nice pair of links.

The picture of the pair is encased in a 12mm square of what seems to be enamel. Thanks to the enamel the cuffs are fairly light and are resistant to corrosion. The picture is quite bright and really does pop out against a blue or pink shirt. Against a white background it's not quite the same but people still notice. Speaking of which, any kids I've had the privelige of treating have loved them and have laughed that a serious doctor would wear such things!

You can't get a better recommendation than that!
