      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Really cute necklace, would absolutely suit either a fan of the books or of the movies.

While I'm not much of a fan of the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland, I do really like the books and previous films, and I love this necklace. It's very suitable for any fan of Alice in Wonderland, regardless of which Alice they prefer! I thought this was a really cute design, although the little hearts do look a little cheaper in reality than in photos. It can also be a brooch, as you can see from the slight showing of the clasp on the photo, but I'm really not sure why that is part of the design.

The clasp also looks a little flimsy, but hasn't broken for me yet. Besides which, what you're paying for is really the crown pendant, which I think has a great look. It goes with a lot of what I wear, and isn't so big as to draw too much attention to it. Personally, I think this item goes really well with black clothing, because of the darkened silvery parts, but it's delicate enough to pass for a regular crown design, so if you want to be discreet about your love for Alice in Wonderland, you can be!

      For grown up Alice fans

Know as you may already know I am an Alice in Wonderland fan and so the Disney Couture Range by designer Tom Binns really appeals to me. This necklace was a gift for my birthday alongside my Alice bracelet. If you have read that review you will know that it was purchased from a website called www.spoiledbrat.co.uk who currently have a sale on for the Alice range. The necklace cost £25 they have since sold out but the necklace can be purchased on Amazon for £35.

As with my Alice bracelet ther necklace comes in a satin black drawstring pouch which has Tom Binns for Disney Couture printed on one side and Disney Alice in Wonderland printed in gold lettering on the other. The drawstring bag is handy for keeping your neclace safe. I tend to through necklaces ina box together and the all get tangled up so having a seperate pouch helps with keeping it tangle free.

On opening the necklace for the first time I was suprised at how big the pendant was it measures 1inch by 1 inch and I was also suprised to find that not only is it a necklace but it is also a brooch. The pendant / brooch is in the shape of a crown and has 3 red hearts on each point. It has an warn antique-effect silver metal colour and has 3 more hearts across it in silver with little red dots in. The base of the crown reads 'off with their heads' which for those of you not familiar with the film is the Red Queens catchphrase.

The chain of the necklace is 23inches long and it also has an extender chain which is 3 inchs long which allows you to clasp the necklace together at the length that best suits you. On the end of the chain is a silver effect 'MADE WITH CARE WONDERLAND' tag with the DISNEY name printed on the back.

The necklace itself is not to heavy to wear even though the pendant is quite big. The size of the pendant for me means I will only wear it with plain tops because it is to fussy to wear with other tops with print on them. The necklace is also more of a day wear item than a going out piece of jewellary.

I will give this necklace 4 stars loosing a star for the size of the pendant making it difficult to wear with everything.
