Wonderful individual gift, although a little pricey

This Christmas was my first our first as a family. Our boys were 6 months old and things were very different from last year! I wanted to mark the occasion by giving my husband something wonderful from his sons. At 6 months they were of course to young to make anything, so I had a search around and came up with these.

Little Me make silver jewellery with an imprint of your child's fingerprint on it. The procss is simple, they send you a kit, you take the impression, you send it back, they send you the cufflinks. The instructions they send are very clear. You practice taking the print in one colour putty. when you are happy, you mix the two colours together and you have about two minutes to take a print before it hardens. I would recommend waiting until your child is asleep before taking the print if they are inquisitive or likely to fidget! You then leave the putty for 15 minutes, pop it back into the pot it came in, put it in the post and sit back and wait.

The cost of all this is £89 plus postage (did I hear you gulp then?!) but in my opinion it's well worth it. The finished cufflinks are beautiful and my husband will wear them forever. He has the fingerprint and name of one of his 5 month old sons on each wrist whenever he is at work. Priceless.
