“ Brand: Ortak / Type: Cufflinks „
I love to wear shirts with a Double Cuff and refuse to use the cheap rubber cufflinks that they come with. Cuff links to me are a way to personalise an outfit as a man while retaining a level of class and dignity and I'm starting to get quite a selection.
I received my first set of Ortak Cufflinks as a gift a couple of years ago and I've fallen in love with cufflinks. I n ow have a large selection of cufflinks in everything from Sterling silver to Silk patterned depending on the occasion and purpose of what I'm wearing.
Ortak- the Company originates from the Orkney Islands and is known for its innovative jewellery design and a high level of craftsmanship in gold and silver. Ortak is a member of the BJA which regulates industry quality
I recently bought their Celtic design. I was Christened Liam so I have some Celt in me I'd like to think! I also like to purchase items with character and a degree of heritage.
Ortak say (www.Ortak.co.uk)
'These stylish cuff links are largely inspired by Celtic Craftsmen who adapted ideas from nature to produce the familiar knotwork interlacings. These knots have come to symbolize the hope of eternal life.'
I use these often for work. They're simple and understated yet have an intricacy to the design that gets peoples attention. I have them in Sterling silver and they therefore look great with any colour shirt although I prefer a splash of colour personally with a white shirt. Fastening is by a simple clip system which does the job.
Price is £95 sterling silver and Ortak also make a 9 ct yellow gold version for £805 which is very steep to me for a pair of cufflinks. £95 is a lot to many people too however they do look great!
Link Dimensions 15*16 mm
Nice cufflinks however I do not believe they Justify the price when compared to high street options
