This was my first pandora charm bracelet, bought for me in 2007. I wore it every day for around 3 years, and loved the way it looked, cute, smart and glam.
After 2-3 years, I realised my bracelet seemed like it was too big for me. I bought more charms and filled it as much as I could but it was still too big. I hadn't lost any weight, if thats what anyones thinking!!!!
I couldnt understand how many charm bracelet fit me when I had only 5 charms on it, but was now too big when it had around 20 on it!!! I realised after a few weeks of being confused, and not being able to wear my bracelet, as it would fall off without opening the clasp, that the numerous tiny joints around the bracelet has stretched. I hadn't done anything to encourage this, I always took it off using the clasp.
I was therefore very dissapointed, the bracelet had managed to gain a few centimetres, and therefore unwearable!!! I got a new double wrap leather bracelet, and 4 years later, it still fits, with no stretching oroblems like the metal one.
I dont know if I had a dodgy product, or if theyre all like this, but I woukdnt recommend it.
I recieved my pandora bracelet as a Christmas gift two years ago, I believe that it was £50 at the time, they now retail for £60.
Mine is the 19inch, they also come in 17,18,19,20, 21 and 23 inches. The only disapointment that I have with my bracelet is that it has stretched a bit, and if anything is now bordering on slightly too big. I wish that the sales assistant had told me that they do stretch over time, and with the weight of the charms on them, as I probably would have gone for the 18inch in that case.
However the stretching aside, I love it. Each pandora bracelet is unique to the owner as you add more and more charms to create your own customized bracelet. I'm enjoying adding charms for special occasions, charms that mean something to me, and that I can look back and remember why where and when I got them.
A Pandora bracelet is an ideal gift for someone too. I've just bought my GodDaughter one for her 21st, along with three charms - one for her 21st, the gift wrapped parcel - one for Christmas, the snowman - and one to celebrate the birth of her first baby, the pram.
My bracelet is over two years old now and has not tarnished or discoloured, it still looks as good as new. I have 12 charms on it so far, with room for probably another six to nine, depending on the size of the charms that I choose. It looks lovely on and I wear it all the time. I do however take it off if I will have my hands in water.
It is easy enough to open and close it yourself once you get the knack, you just insert your fingernail in the barrel clasp to open it, and push the barrel clasp together to close it.
I was browsing the forums on moneysavingexpert the other day and came across Pandora. I was aware of it being the rival to Links of London sweetie bracelet which I recently got but didn't know that much about it otherwise.
In some ways it is similar to a Sweetie in that you pick new bits for it yourself over time and build it up but whereas with a traditional charm bracelet, you have the charms dangling off it, with a Pandora you have the charms, which are beads really, slide onto it.
There are a variety of bracelets you can get, various silver and gold ones and leather ones but this I think is the most popular. I think the standard price is £60, but I got it for £48 because the place where I ordered, Mememe Accessories, was clearing all the Pandora due to a supply disagreement.
It comes in about six different lengths. The easiest thing to do is cut some string, fit it round your wrist then comparei it with a ruler. Add 3 cm on to that to leave it room to move and that is the size you should pick, e.g. my wrist was 16cm so I got the 19cm bracelet.
At first I thought they had sent me the wrong one when I couldn't get in over my hand but then realised that this was a take on - take off style rather than the push on - push off Links style.
To get it open and closed, you need to stick your nail into the grove of the clasp and then it will spring open. This is also how you must thread on your beads.
The bracelet is quite plain without charms so probably wouldn't wear it without. It has three sections divided by a tiny twist bit so that you can arrange and separate your beads as you wish and off course the clasp has the Pandora logo on it.
If you're interested in buying one, now's the time when there is a bit of a discount available. Beware though, filing it up with beads will be quite expensive.
I decided to ask for a Pandora bracelet after seeing one on a friend on my University course two years ago. When i asked her where she got it from she explained to me that it was a charm bracelet she received for her twenty first birthday, she then told me about all the different charms she had and who they were off - i could tell how much it meant to her.
I had my bracelet for Christmas two years ago, I asked for a silver one with a clasp as i personally prefer silver jewellery. They have a variety of bracelets including gold and leather materials. My friend has a black leather bracelet and she loves it! The silver bracelet was £55 and came presented in a white pandora gift box and a pandora gift bag. I also had a silver charm which had already been put onto the bracelet by the shop assistant.
They do different sizes in the bracelets, mine was 19" and initially i felt it was too big as i could take it on and off without the clasp being undone. However now with the charms i can no longer do this and it fits much better, i am now glad i didnt exchange it for a smaller size! Just be wary of this when purchasing one, i would advise asking the sales assistant what they think is best for you. The sales assistants i have come across in the pandora shops in north wales have been very welcoming and eager to help out!
I initially found it difficult to get the charm on and off, and even to put the bracelet on, but i went online onto youtube and got instructions on how to open the clasp! When putting charms onto the bracelet you have to twist them on.
I now have several charms that i have had off gifts off family and friends, they are all personal to me! It is a very sentimental gift. Charms vary in price and start from about £20. There is a variety of pandora charms, ranging from silver, silver with hints of gold, gold, glass, wooden - a huge variety!
I even have a pandora account open on their website which enables me to make a 'wish list' that is available for my friends and family to view - and gives them great gift ideas ;) This is particularly useful to me as i have decided to colour code my bracelet pink and now everyone knows this!
Just another little tip, if you do not wish to keep the gift boxes they sell well on Ebay!
I decided to request a Pandora charm bracelet for my 21st birthday, as I had asked for a laptop for my 18th, and decided something more sentimental would be nice this time. For anyone who hasn't come across a Pandora bracelet before, it is basically a charm bracelet, but the charms come in a bead format rather than a standard charm that dangles from a bracelet. There are other similar brands to Pandora, Chamilia being one of them.
So my mum agreed she would like to buy me this charm bracelet for my birthday, but took me with her to choose one and also a couple of charms to go with it. I already knew I was going to purchase a silver one, as I simply do not like gold, and didn't fancy the leather one either as I wasn't sure how hard wearing it would be. Having already inspected my friends silver Pandora bracelet, I knew I definitely wanted one.
Upon arriving in the Pandora shop, York, I was greeted by a friendly sales assistant, whom I told that I wanted to purchase a silver charm bracelet. She then told me the bracelet comes in different sizes and proceeded to try different ones on my wrist to see which the best fit was. One was quite a loose fitting, but not to loose to fall off, and she suggested I went for that one as it would need room on it for when I started filling it with charms.
My mum let me pick a few charms to get me started, and there was a large choice to choose from, including silver ones, gold ones, and glass ones. I have received a few charms as gifts over the last year as well as bought some for myself and the ones I have so far are:
Silver bead with a December birthstone
Silver Capricorn sign bead
Silver 'L' bead (for Louise!)
Silver suitcase with the Eiffel tower on it (to mark my current 5 month trip to France)
Green glass bead
There is still room for about another 12 charms on my bracelet, which is good as I wouldn't want to fill it too quickly. I love the bracelet as it is personal to me and I have filled it half with cute charms that I like the look of and half with charms that are relevant to me.
My bracelet is still in great condition a year and a bit after purchase, and it seems very hard wearing. A friend of mine told me that if you take your bracelet into a shop they will clean it for you free of charge. I took mine into the Pandora shop in High Wycombe, but as they had only been open a few days they said they couldn't offer the cleaning service yet, however I will go back there soon and hopefully get it cleaned. The bracelet doesn't get too dirty, just a little bit, as you would expect with any silver jewelry, especially seen as there are lots of little crevices on most of the charms and the bracelet.
Price wise, a Pandora bracelet can work out pretty expensive by the time you have a bracelet full of charms, especially if you go for gold. My silver one cost £55 and each charm has cost between £20 and £40. The gold one is considerably more than this, the bracelet on its own costs somewhere in the region of £1000, and the charms cost a lot more than the silver ones too.
I love my Pandora bracelet; I will hopefully keep it forever and keep adding to it over the next few years.
After having a Pandora bracelt and charms with my birthday money I was more than happy. I had bought the bracelt so I could make it feel like my own unique bracelet and not have to worry about someone having all the same charms as me. With different kinds of charms the bracelet soon fills up. My Pandora bracelet lock to close the bracelet is sometimes difficult to open and close I feel like I have to be careful as sometimes I believe if I am hard on it then it would break on me. While the bracelet has a rather delicate lock the bracelet as a hole can take hard knocks and still be as shiny like you first bought it. In my opinion the bracelet looks very elegent. It is also deffinately worth the money as some people believe that they don't come cheap but they are something special.
There are different types of Pandora braclets that vary in price bracelets. The silver one costs £60 RRP. This may vary on the different sites that you visit. The bracelet comes in different sizes 16-50 cms. The prices range compared to what size you have.
16 cm - 23 cm = £60.00
40 cm - 45 cm =£100.00
50 cm £115
When you buy the bracelet get the size up as when you start to fill the bracelet with charms then you want to be able to let the bracelet move a little around your arm and not be too tight. When you buy the bracelet it comes in a white box with the Pandora sign on. In the box there is a cushion where the bracelets is lay. The bracelet also comes with a cloth to keep the bracelet looking new and shiny. A tip that I would give to anybody is that if they collect the bags that the bracelet and charms come in then you can sell those on ebay for a small price.
I believe that this product is a elegant bracelet that is unique and made to just how you would want it. The bracelet is very comfy to wear. When you wear it people can see that it a Pandora bracelet as on the lock it has it.
I might spend way too much money on clothes and make up, but I'm actually quite good when it comes to jewellery, and I never normally spend any more than about £10 on a single piece. This isn't because I don't like expensive jewellery, because I do, but the main reason I don't like to spend so much on it is through fear of breaking it or losing it. That's why when these pandora bracelets first came out I resisted the urge to splurge, even though practically everyone I knew had one and I felt like I was missing out. But I'm a big girl and I learned to cope with being the only one without one!
I couldn't believe it when my new gorgeous boyfriend drove up to my house one random day recently, and completely out of the blue he gave me this stunning Pandora bracelet! I love my boyfriend so much, he is the most kindest person I've ever met, I can't believe he would spend so much on me for no reaosn, he said he got this for me just because he loves me! So I'll use this review to tell the whole world how kind he is and say thank you very very much!
The bracelet itself is really beautiful and you can tell its designer and not anything cheap just by looking at it and touching it. I've got a few beads for it already and can't wait to collect some more as they just look so gorgeous and pretty on it, this is a really nice charm bracelet and it looks really expensive and luxurious. It is expensive, as it costs around £55, so I save this only for special occassions and take a lot of extra care when wearing it not to get it damaged. But when it does come out of the jewellery box where it is safely placed, and I wear it proudly on my wrist it looks amazing, catches the light and shines beautifully.
Even though I'm a clumsy so and so and need to take extra care with this thats not to say that the quality isn't really good, because I believe it is. By now I was sure to have broken the fastening or something, because that's just the way I am. Maybe its because I'm being so careful with looking after this and being so desperate not to break it, but it hasn't broken at all! So the quality is really good as well as the style.
Overall I would definitely recommend this on-trend, designer, gorgeous, beautiful bracelet. It is expensive but I think its worth it. For me this has added sentimental value and I know it wouldn't mean as much to me if I had bought it for myself, so decide whether you like the look of it before you go ahead and splurge on it.
Thanks for reading xo
PANDORA- everyone has one including me. This is the bracelet I have it is the sliver one without the bead instead of the clip that normal bracelets have. I like this better because I feel like the charms are more secure which is good because they cost a fortune. But, when something is a must have, girls you will agree, price doesn't get in the way.
So my partner bought me this bracelet for £55.00 for Christmas which is not too bad considering it is silver and in very high demand. With these charm bracelets you can buy the charms to go on it from the same place as you buy the bracelet, you can also buy clips that clip onto the ridges which are spaced evenly around the bracelet to make the charms stay in one place and not go rolling around. You can also buy spacers which fit in between the charms to make this look even more stylish.
You can get this bracelet in various sizes but it is a good idea for allowing for the charms to be on as this will make it smaller. I think this bracelet is brilliant quality. On either end when you undo it there are ridges where you can screw on the charms to make them nice and safe.
You can buy these from the internet but it is a lot more secure to go into the actual Pandora shop, I have seen quite a few but if you go on the website you will see where all their stores are. I really love my bracelet but the only downfall is that thee are so many fakes around it isn't good but just remember not to buy fake beads for your Pandora as they won't fit well and it is seriously not worth it!
Thanks for reading,
So, i was suprised with one of these for Christmas this year! I had heard about Pandora but it wasnt something i was hyping over but i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this piece of Jewellery. It is so delicate and feminine yet definately a robust piece of lovliness! I have large wrists and usually struggle to find bracelets and bangles to fit me so when i tried this on on Christmas day and it was too small i resolved to think it was going to have to be returned with a refund ... GUTTED! However, we tackled Meadowhall and queued outside the Pandora shop (obviously with my hopes very low) but what would you know... the do sizes right up to 22cm.. to fit even the largest of wrists like mine!! DELIGHTED!!! The design of this bracelt is like no other i have seen, its hads the cutest little closing clasp which secures around the bracelet and disguises the fastening as almot another charm! The intersections in the bracelet as like little screw threads which means you will only be able to add genuine Pandora charms to the bracelet which make it all the more exciting as you know you will never have to wear a charm that could be found in your local £ shop!!
Girls.. you definately want one of these bracelets.. no two will ever be the same, you own unique piece of jewllery (once you have added your own charms)
Boys... Get your other half, sister, mum one of these... they will love you forever and you will never be stuck of gift ideas ever again and you can keep adding to their charms for a lifetime!!
I recieved this pandora bracelet as a gift for my 21st birthday last year. After going on about wanting one for a while, I finally got one, and if I never recieved one as a gift I definitely would have gone out and bought one myself. I wanted a pretty silver bracelet that I could wear everyday and that would last years, unlike other jewellery that I often wear that is not real silver etc. from places such as Topshop, where the colour tends to wear away and the jewellery starts to go rusty and parts will either break or snap.
The silver bracelet with the clasp that has 'PANDORA' engraved on it retails at £55. There is a cheaper alternative however, which does not have the same clasp or the pandora word engraved on but the pandora logo stamped on. This one retails at £42.
There are many other pandora bracelets that will fit all of there charms on, of different materials. I also have a black leather one. Therefore, if you get bored or recieve another pandora bracelet you can always swap your charms around etc.
There is a wide range of charms for these bracelets, the full range is available on the official pandora website. They come in many different materials and range from as little as £15 up to hundreds. I want to add that I have the safety chain charm, which is definitely worth buying for the pandora bracelet, there are a few designs to choose from and i purchased mine for £30. If your bracelet did happen to come loose, this will ensure it won't completely fall off, at least not without you realising, which has happened to me before! I made the clasp become loose a little after forcing the clasp shut when putting the bracelet on, not realising it was not in the right position and I bent a bit of the clasp inside.
Fortunately, I went into my nearest Pandora shop that day and they said it can happen a lot if you try to force the clasp shut when it is not in the right position to be shut, and they fixed it straight away for me for free, no questions asked. Since then I have been a lot more careful when putting my bracelet on, and it has never happened again since.
If anything was to happen to happen to a pandora bracelet, they all come with a year warranty, so you can just take it back to your nearest pandora shop.
The bracelet comes in several different sizes, they advise you when purchasing one to buy one tighter than your usual bracelet, as they can become loose after having a lot of charms on for some time. I have noticed mine has done this, but not too much, it doesn't slide off my wrist without having to unfasten it.
So after a year of having this bracelet I am pleased to say I still love it and wear it almost everyday, and i still haven't filled it completely with charms so I still look at them and treat myself sometimes, and always recieve some as gifts. It is a great idea for a gift and you can also decide how you want it to look, with all the different coloured charms.
I give it 5 stars because I have yet to be disappointed with mine, it can work out very expensive but as there are so many charms available, there are enough silver ones (the cheapest charms) to fill up more than one of these bracelets, and its a great investment!
With so many replicas out there on the market at bargain prices it may be hard to imagine why you would shell out the extra for pandora, but as soon as you see the quality you know that it will be soooo worth it.
The bracelet is a fab price for silver at £55 pounds and comes in a range of sizes to fit all wrists.
The clasp screams elegance, and the bracelet feels light on the wrist. The clasp always displays the name of the company allowing everyone to see that you have the luxury designer product.
Even the packaging the product comes in has a beautiful elegant feel, from the luxurious embossed card to the printed ribbon, and rope handles. You'd feel a million dollars receiving this as a gift.
The bracelet is made for additional charms which means it can look different everytime you add one, and prices aren't too bad starting at around 15 pounds per charm.
Great if you don't know what to buy someone everytime their birthday comes around!
Worth every penny. You pay for the quality. And it's a beautiful shimmery silver.
Expensive but worth it once you start building up an extensive collection on charms. The bracelet is £55 new from the Pandora store but can be picked up a little cheaper on sites such as ebay, just be careful your buying the real deal for the sake of saving £15 it might be better just to buy one from the store to be sure your getting the real mac-coy.
There are as many as 640 different charms starting at as little as £25 ranging all the way up to £500. The amount of charms you can fit on depends on the size of the bracelet and the charms, but id easily say 20.
You can change the charms and come up with as many different styles and combinations as you like this makes it really versatile and better than a standard bracelet as you can change the appearance to suit.
Its a great gift for a loved one and you can always buy them a charm for it within a vast price range so great if your ever stuck for a gift idea!
My Pandora bracelet is my favourite piece of jewellery. I've had mine for 2 years and got it as a present from my boyfriend. It is such a lovely well made piece.
On its own it is very simple, it is a solid sterling silver round snake chain with a very sturdy clasp. The clasp is designed to look like a bead so fits in well with the rest of my collection and has the name Pandora stamped into it in capitals. It splits in half on a little hidden hinge to open with a click sound. It has a steel strip spring inside to ensure it will be durable and always lock tight. It is stamped 925 on the inside.
The clasp can be a little difficult to open as it is very tight and if you have polished your nails it will more than likely make it chip as you need to push your nail into the closure to make it snap open. The best thing to do is to get someone else to open it for you or use a credit card! which is what I use if I've just had my nails done. But I would rather this than it be a clasp that could get caught on your clothes and pull open.
There is 4 thicker sections spaced out around the bracelet. One either side of the clasp and two others evenly spaced across the chain. Each of these sections is threaded with a screw finish. This stop your beads from sliding around and the one on the end of the clasp is very useful as it stops the beads from just falling off when you take it off as the beads need to be screwed on and off. All genuine Pandora beads have the threading on the inside so will twist on and off easily if you give them a little spin.
Other brand beads do fit on but not all. If the hole in the middle is not big enough they will not fit over the screw bit. So make sure your family friends know this if you think they want to get you a bead.
The packaging the bracket comes in is very pretty and looks lovely as a gift. It is white leather effect on the outside and a soft pink on the inside and you will also get a little Pandora bag to put it in like Tiffany do.
This bracelet is also available in an oxidised finish which looks a little more antiqued. I would recommend this as a gift.
I never really thought much about pandora bracelets until my partner bought me one for my birthday a few months ago.
My pandora bracelet come in a lovely white leather box with pandora written on it, inside was lined in pink velour its a lovely finishing touch and a safe place to store my bracelet when not in use. There was a pandora certificate too as well as cleaning instructions.
My pandora bracelet is 21 cm long. It costs around £50 from pandora but there is a few jewellers that stock pandora bracelets and charms in my area.
The bracelet is sterling silver. It is called a snake bracelet due to the rounded textured bracelet style, the fastener is a clip and one the end just snaps into the fastener. On the fastener is the pandora hallmarks with a crown being used as the O in pandOra very nice.
The pandora collection has charms and beads, some of these beads can cost from £15.00 - £85.00 shocking needless to say i have the lamp work beads for my bracelet and a few silver spacer beads so i have kept to a colour scheme of pink silver and white beads. My lamp work beads are only £15.00. The bracelet is so comfy to wear as well as being stylish and different.
I have finally managed to love pandora.
I do have one small issue with the pandora trade mark is after buying a genuine pandora bead from ebay it did not fit my bracelet i was told by the jewellers that is was not genuine a fake from ebay so please only buy your pandora goods from retailers only.
I HIGHLY recommend pandora bracelets for something different, a bit unusual and simply stunning.
the new age of charm bracelets!! it was my sister in laws 30th birthday a few months ago and we were struggling to come up with a gift idea for her. we settled on a pandora charm bracelet. each family member bought a bead charm for it of their own choice. it looked really classy when put together. i think the best part of this gift was that we all got to put our thought into, a bit of our own personality with the bead we chose. she absolutly loved it, and so did her 6 year old daughter! the great part is that with just a few extra coloured beads you can make a whole new look, that is individual and truely personal. the sleek silver bracelet looks stunning even with a single bead. there are cheaper versions available but i truely believe when it comes to jewellery you pay for quality you recieve. would really recommend as a original gift idea that you can all get involved in. i have now bought my own and never take it off
