This was the first ever pandora charm ever bought for me, in 2007. It is a very sweet charm and I have worn it on my pandora bracelet every day since I received it. He still looks as cute as ever, though his nose has worn off! I realise that wearing it every day for 6 and a half years is a big ask of a little charm, but when spending £20 (price in 2007, £25 in 2014) on a tiny piece of jewellery, I would imagine it to last better. I have had numerous charms over the years and this is one of the few that have worn down a little, it is just because his nose sticks out slightly. Overall, I am very pleased with this cute charm, and will continue to wear it every day, until i pass the charms and bracelet down the generations, even though he is missing a nose!
I received my Pandora bracelet last Christmas, but didn't have many charms to fill it until my recent birthday, when I was fortunate enough to receive quite a few new charms, one of which was this silver Teddy Bear Charm, which you can currently purchase online for around £25. I actually received this charm as a 'gift' from my 11 month old daughter, selected on her behalf from her daddy! I knew I was getting a charm from her, but when I saw it I couldn't believe how cute it was, and it was just perfect from my little girl. This silver teddy bear is well made with excellent detail like all Pandora charms. It has a particularly cute face and then a somewhat full tummy which the teddy has its hands clasped over. The cutest part of the whole charm however has to be the feet, with the little paw prints. Of all the charms I have this is probably the cutest and would definitely be suitable for a child/teenager or for a mother from her child, like me! I love teddies so it was a nice symbol on my bracelet of something that I like. It slides on easily to the bracelet and doesn't get lost amongst the other, sometimes bigger charms. This is not a charm I was familiar with but I am so glad I received it as a gift. Everything from the cute face and ears to the overfull tummy make this a really cute cute charm. I high price, like other Pandora charms, but it is hard to compete with the cuteness of this charm and how nice it looks on the bracelet. I would recommend this charm, however, £25 is a lot for this charm or any Pandora charm in fact, but it really is a lovely, cute charm that does stand out on my charm bracelet. A lovely gift.
For my birthday my Grandma always gives me £15.00 and more often than not I end up spending it on something trivial which I cannot really remember a few weeks later. This year she did the same and gave me £15 but I decided I wanted to use it to buy a charm for my Pandora bracelet which would make me think of my Grandma for years to come. For years my Grandma had a thing for teddy bears and we would always buy her things relating to that and so it made sense when I spotted the teddy bear charm to purchase that one. I ordered the charm online from the same place my bracelet was bought for both myself, my sister and my mum as it was somewhere that I trusted to send the charm quickly and presented nicely too. The charm cost me £25.00 which is one of the lower priced charms but I obviously had to put some money to it as well as my birthday gift money. When the charm arrived I have to say I was completely taken by the cuteness of it which is even more apparent in the flesh than it is on a picture on the internet. The charm isn't too chunky yet it is full of beautiful detail. The charm depicts a little bear sat with his feet out and his arms on to his round tummy. The detail is actually quite remarkable as you can see the small claws on the feet as well as lines engraved on the tummy to give the impression of fur. What I love most about this little charm though is the face as it is a perfect teddy bear face and the eyes, nose and ear markings have all been made slightly darker so that they stand out more on the charm. On the back of the charm there is even a little round tail which is of course very cute and on the bottom is the 925 ALE marking which signifies that this is a genuine sterling silver Pandora charm. I totally love this charm and I think it looks gorgeous on my bracelet. It is full of so much character for such a small item and it really does make me think of my Grandma when I look at it which I personally love as I do thing that you should be able to link each charm on your bracelet to a person, time or memory. I have to say I think most people would love this charm as it is just so cute and well made. The price at £25.00 is reasonable for this one I think because of the amount of detail on it and so I have to say I highly recommend this one. Thank you for reading my review!
I've had this bead about ten months now and I love it. It seems to grow on me more and more every day because of its cute little face; its smile is very charming. And also because of the lovely memories I associate with it (as it should be with a Pandora charm!). I got this bead in Berlin when I went on a winter holiday there with my boyfriend as the bear is a symbol of Berlin and on Berlin's coat of arms. So it is very fitting for purpose! The bead itself is made of solid sterling silver so is marked 925 ALE on its 'bum' in a very small print and it has a nice weighty feel to it. He is 13mm in hight, 7mm wide and 8mm deep. And has the standard 5mm threaded hole running through the middle which makes it easy to twist the bead on and off my standard snake chain style bracelet Pandora make. I don't have any of the corded/leather bracelets so cant comment on its compatibility with them. But i can say the thread provides the usual Pandora bead security in that it does not allow the bead to just slip off your bracelet easily. The bear is sat down hugging his belly as if he has just ate a rather big meal and is happy about it! It has a lot of personality about it as the casting is very clear and detailed so must clearly have been manufactured to a high standard. It has a fur like texture engraved on it and the detail of the fingers, toes and ears are clearly visible. But as I mentioned earlier his face is his best feature with his cute little smile, large eyes and button nose. All the details of the bead are enhanced further by the use of an oxidised finish that pics out the finer details. In my opinion the shade of oxidisation on this bead is fairly light more of a mid grey than the usual dark grey/black. I point this out as I have a penchant for the dark heavily oxidised beads as they look a little more antique and go better with my oxidised bracelet. So don't expect that look from this bead it is just oxidised enough to show off the detail. This may be seen as big plus point to many people as i know many who prefer the more shiny polished look with a bit of bling! And i think the shade of oxidisation on this bead would go well with both styles I cant remember how much we paid for this bead but i know it retails for around £25 which i think is a reasonable price for its quality and charm. Thanks for reading my review! xxx This is the first one i have done in a while so let me know if you have any pointers for me!
