“ Brand: Pandora / Type: Charm „
I bought this pandora purple enamel butterfly pattern charm to go on my pandora purple leather bracelet. The enamel butterfly charm costs £40.00. The pandora model number of the purple butterfly charm is 790438EN07. The butterfly pattern charm is also available with orange, turquioise or lime butterflys on it.
This is the perfect match for my purple leather bracelet, the purple butterflys really 'pop' next to the purple leather.
Although I did buy this for myself it would also make the perfect gift for someone. The only thing that I would say though is make sure that you choose a colour that the recipient will like, or a colour to match other charms on her bracelet.
This has been quite a sturdy little charm and shows no signs of wear or tear, I've had it for around six months now. It is quite a heavy little charm, and the enamel butterflys are lovely and smooth and bright, and they catch the light perfectly. The little purple enamel butterflys even have little engraved antenna on them.
Like all sterling silver pandora charms this one is stamped with 925 for sterling silver, and ALE for pandora.
Lots of people have commented on my choice of the purple bracelet and the purple butterfly charm and have said how lovely they look together. I also have the purple enamel heart charm which compliments these two perfectly.
I got this charm from a friend as a gift as I had been wanting a charm with some colour on it for awhile and so this turned out to be my first non character charm and I liked the effect so much that I subsequently ended up buying some more.
It is a tiny little bead as opposed to being shaped like an animal or object and is covered in 10 butterflies which are made of purple enamel. The butterflies are pretty basic in shape just being more of a cross but they do have the antena above them and this is also more of black colour rather than just being silver.
The purple enamel is absolutely beautiful and again I am in awe at how they can put so much detail into something so small. As soon as I put this bead on my bracelet the effect really complimented the rest of my charms which were just plain silver. The tiny burst of colour really helped the bracelet stand out more and just made it look more classy and grown-up and it kept catching my eye especially when outside as the sun would make it glisten.
It is stamped like all pandora charms 925 to show that it is hallmarked silver and also the ALE mark to show it is a genuine pandora.
As it was a gift I don't know ecatly how much my friend paid for it but I bought a similar one to this and it cost me £40 which is more than the usual silver charms cost. This makes sense due to the inclusion of the enamel but I still think as much as I love them that Pandora charms are over priced for what they are.
If you collect Pandora and are looking for something to give you bracelet a little edge and differentiate it from all the other bracelets then this little bead would be perfect for you.
I got this bead a little while back and love it. It is so cute!
This bead comes in teal too and it is such a beautiful shade, I was torn between the two but opted for the teal as it complimented the silver tone better. The shade is more blue than green from a distance but when you look up close the emerald green shades really show through. The enamel although coloured is pretty translucent so shines nicely as you can see the silver through it.
There is 10 butterflies altogether on the bead that are all spread out evenly across it. Each butterfly is stamped onto the bead about 1/2 a mm deep and has then been filled in with enamel so that the butterflies are flush with the beads surface. This means it is smooth to the touch.
Each butterfly has a pair if antenna that have been stamped out and have been oxidised so they are black not coloured with enamel. The antennae on my bead are a lot finer than the ones in the picture here and look prettier in my opinion.
I think this bead does tend to vary quite a lot from bead to bead as when I got mine the jeweller originally gave me one where the enamel was really blurred round the edges and was a lighter shade. Even though she tried to convince me they where all the same I insisted on the one in the window as it had clearly been finished to a higher standard. So if you're thinking of getting this bead I would definitely buy it in person to make sure you get a nice one rather than online.
I'm subtracting 1 star because not all these beads are born equal.
I got my Pandora bracelet with my first five charms on for my 21st birthday since then I've been shamelessly filling it up, one particular charm I have is this one...although I have the one inset with green butterflies not purple ones. The silver is a really good quality, as you would expect and does not scratch easily at all...I have had mine for nearly two-years now...so now you know how old I am, and it doesn't have a scratch on it even though I wear it nearly all the time. The green enamel is a really nice and clean colour and it sparkles a bit, similarly none of the enamel butterflies have fallen off or broken so it's all made well. One thing I've noticed with the green butterflies is that from a little distance they also look like four-leafed clovers/shamrocks so, could really be either or depending on what you wanted!
Pandora charms come from the jewellers really well presented and make a great gift for yourself or others. The little charm boxes they come in are really cute and look really expensive with soft velveteen material inside and a little piece of pink ribbon which your charm in threaded onto...the box, sadly is part of the excitement too, and they are way to good a quality to just throw away...I tend to recycle mine for keeping other jewellery in like earrings and things.
If you already have a bracelet, or are thinking or investing in one then this is a great little charm to add a bit of quirky colour onto your bracelet. Across the board silver charms retail mostly at £20, ones inset with coloured enamel like this one at £25-30 and gold one at a little more. Pandora also now make wooden beads which are again £20-30 and Murano glass beads that are very colourful and cost upwards of £30.
I received this charm as a present for my 19th birthday from my boyfriend's parents. 8 months later, it is still in a lovely condition, although I never take my Pandora bracelet off so it is a little scuffed now. The purple enamel is still a lovely colour, and none of the enamel pieces have fallen or broken off. It is a nice colorful addition too my bracelet, as the rest of my charms are silver with small accents of gold.
Pandora charms are a great gift, as they can be personal but are not too expensive. I never take my Pandora bracelet off, even showering and sleeping in it, and it has definitely held up very well indeed! The strong clasp has never fallen open accidentally.
The bracelet itself has stretched a little, but with the weight of the charms pulling on it, I am not surprised at all, and it has not changed my opinion or love for it.
One of the bead charms on my bracelet is a Lovelinks charm from www.allcharms.co.uk . It is a similar charm, and fits wonderfully on my Pandora bracelet, and you cannot tell that it is a Lovelinks charm instead, which is great because Lovelinks have some charms that Pandora do not make, and vice versa, meaning you can mix and match your charms all together to make your own personal bracelet!
Pandora sell different sized bracelets in silver, gold, and now also do leather ones, and also have many different necklaces too!
