“ Brand: Pandora / Type: Charm „
I got my first Pandora Bracelet as a Christmas Present two years ago. My Mother in Law loves the Pandora Brand and decided to get me one as a surprise, it was accompanied by four little charms for Christmas from my fiancé.
Now however my Pandora bracelet is very close to being full, one of my favourite charms is the mother of pearl charm that was given to me one year ago as a present from my fiancé for my birthday, I was instantly really pleased as it is a really pretty charm.
What it looks like
This is an average sized (for Pandora) spherical charm with heart shaped mother of pearl stones added to it, the mother of pearl stone is a light greyish colour, however a when the light hits it, it shines a slight multicolour glint from it, you can also get this stone however in a darker black shiny colour. The charm is smooth and there are no edges where the stone sticks out.
When I first got this charm, much like many of my Pandora charms, it was really sparkly, however as it wears it becomes a little bit duller and needs cleaning with a jewellers cloth to regain its shine, I clean mine about once a month to keep it looking shiny and nice.
This charm is 100% sterling silver (with mother of pearl) and has been stamped with the ALE mark, so it is great quality, it of course fits perfectly onto the Pandora bracelet and is made to great standard.
You can buy this charm from any Pandora store, online, or from any of Jewellers that provides Pandora products, it costs £50, which is the average price for a silver Pandora charm with stones in it.
I think that this was a really nice present and I was really happy to receive it, I love my mother of pearl charm because it is really pretty. It is maybe a little pricey, but this is expected with the Pandora brand, and of course it is very well made and good quality. If you have a Pandora bracelet I would definitely recommend this charm, I would give this charm 5 out of 5 stars.

As mentioned on my Pandora bracelet review, I did receive one of these for Christmas and the most exciting part about these is buying the charms for them as of course the more you get the better the bracelet looks. With my bracelet the first charm I was given is this mother of pearl heart charm which is one of my favourite in the range, so I couldn't have been happier.
The charms from Pandora are all special in their own way but this one is truly beautiful. It is a sphere silver charms that easily twists onto the bracelet. It has mother of pearl hearts all over the sphere, evenly spaced to create a pretty yet elegant design. In the light they give of a turquoise kind of colour and just seem very nice as a first charm on the bracelet. The silver works well with mother of pearl and it is a very feminine but meaningful charm.
I have now had my charm for just near a month as I got it the same day as my bracelet and it has had so many compliments. The charm is of a really high quality, and you can see by the ALE 925 marking which signifies authenticity that it is a true Pandora with the founder's father's initials and 925 signifying the 92.5% pure silver marking. I had to look this up, so will admit to not being that much of a genius but it is only on this charm my other didn't have it, maybe because it hasn't the room.
The charm is very small, so you have to be careful with it, when you buy you can get a separate box to keep charms in but I always just ask if they will put it right onto my bracelet as I don't need the box. The good thing is though that if you do give charms to someone as a gift it is nice to always have t he option for presentation. I'd say it measures at just about 1cm x 1cm as it is that small but it is the perfect size on the bangle and my other charms really compliment it.
I don't wear my charm all of the time, but still like to keep polishing my charms to keep them as shiny and perfect looking so that they always look good. I think this particular charm is very unique and very sophisticated which I like. It is nice to not have them all dangly charms and this one stays put which is good and can be easily twisted round if you fancy moving it about the bracelet. The colours of the hearts when the light hits it are so unique that it really is eye catching.
I was very pleased to receive this charm as my first from my boyfriend as it means a lot but after flicking through my charm catalogue I have to say, this is definitely one I would have picked had I not been given it as it really does stand out. I noticed recently there is a purple one which is the same style but I still prefer the one I have as the colour just seems more special and more my kind of style.
The Pandora charms are not the cheapest and of the silver range this is probably one of the pricier but standard for anything with something like mother of pearl in it. This was £45 before Christmas and in my catalogue but having checked the website it now seems to have risen in price to £50. I am not sure why maybe due to VAT and popularity is what I am guessing. However, it is still worth it and a nice addition to the charm bracelet if it is one that you really like the looks of.
I think it is nice to go into your nearest Pandora stockist and take a closer look as some charms without their catalogue lighting may look different in person. If you want to go on the official Pandora website then you can click here http://www.pandora.net/en-GB/jewellery/ranges/charms/790398MPB and this will take you directly to this charm if you really want to see a good picture of it.
This is one of the most gorgeous beads Pandora do it is so divine! I had this on my wish list for a really long time before a good friend got me it for my birthday. I was so happy when I saw it as it is even prettier in real life as it catches the light in such a nice way.
The bead is a good size and has a good weight to it that gives it a real quality feel. It is made out of solid sterling silver and has the standard Pandora threading running through the middle of it so it can be twisted on and off your bracelet. The bead is dotted with mother of pearl inlays that are in the shape of hearts. You can choose from either black or white mother of pearl. The white mother of pearl is really pretty and feminine and would be a lovely wedding gift.
I personally prefer the darker shade of mother of pearl as it fits in with my beads better as I have a lot of oxidised silver and dark enamel in my collection. Even though it is classed as black mother of pearl it is more of a dark silvery grey with gorgeous shades of rich pink and deep green that catch the light as the bead moves.
The bead has been made exceptionally well and is very smooth to the touch as all the hearts have been set into the bead so there are not edges to scratch you or get caught and nock the shell out. There are 11 hearts in total dotted over the bead; they vary in size too which is a nice detail.
I would definitely recommend this bead for its lovely quality and beautiful design. A good charm to add to any collection.
