“ Brand: Primark / Type: Ring „
Primark is one of my favourite high street stores for more reasons than just the price. Despite their incredibly low prices they still manage to stock the latest fashions and usually have all sizes available which helps to avoid disappointment. Alongside the rails of clothing and racks of shoes are the displays of jewellery most of which are exact replicas of the fashion jewellery which sells in TopShop and River Island for double the price tag!
This love heart style ring is one that I picked up several months ago so I'm not sure if it is still in stock in store as it was a popular choice due to Asos and other retailers selling the similar items at top prices! My main reason for picking this ring up was to go with my new black maxi dress, the dress was quite plain so I thought that accessorising it would help to jazz my outfit up a bit.
To look at the ring has a gold band with a large love heart attached to the front of it. The love heart is black and patent with a gold diamante trim which adds sparkle and glamour.
The ring was available in small/medium and medium/large. I chose the small/medium and the ring is a little too big for me but not big enough to fall off my finger so I just have to be cautious when wearing it.
I also predicted that the diamantes may fall out due to poor quality but so far my diamantes have stayed intact meaning that my ring still looks complete and glam!
Due to the ring being from Primark and being so cheap I envisaged a bright green finger after wearing the ring but was pleasantly surprised-the ring only left a slight discolouration and I have also found that jewellery from TopShop and Asos has left my fingers discoloured also so this is no discredit to Primark.
The ring had a lowly price tag of £2 which is great for this high fashion piece. It was retailing for triple the price in TopShop for an exact replica so as you can imagine these flew out of the shops. The ring is very versatile and can be used for nights out or casual days which means I have got my wear out of it and will continue to do so.
Being a student, I do tend to find myself living in Primark quite a lot, and I do find myself at their jewellery section often. This is because they offer such a vast range of jewellery for minimal prices, when almost the exact replica can be found in various other high street stores for up to six or seven times the price you'd pay here. When going to have a stock up of some jewellery recently, I noticed this gorgeous Primark Diamante Heart Ring and just had to pick it up.
The one on the image is pictures as having a black heart, however the one I picked up was a red heart, but with the similar surrounding colours. It is quite a big ring, therefore is perfect for making a statement. I feel that it goes best when you wear quite plain outfits, as it really helps it to stand out and make that statement. Red and gold combined can often be seen as quite a tacky combination when brought from a store such as Primark, and admittedly my ring does look quite cheap and tacky, but that is the whole point of costume jewellery. All in all though, it is a gorgeous little statement piece, and I often wear it in the day time when I'm wearing a plain top and some jeans or leggings, but I have also worn it on nights out if I'm wearing matching coloured outfits. The possibilities are endless!
Now, buying from Primark was obviously going to be a questionable feat when it comes down to quality. I knew what I was letting myself in for, but this ring only cost a mere £2.00, when I had seen an almost spit of it in Topshop for £8.00. Considering it wasn't a ring I would be wearing regularly, I decided to go for the cheaper option. Unlike with many Primark rings, this one doesn't leave me with a green mark around my finger from where it has sat all day, and this is due to cheap materials which the ring is made out of. This is good, as I do often get this problem with many of their rings! I have owned this for about a year now, and considering it was only £2.00 it is still going strong. None of it has worn away, although it could be easily chipped if dropped so take note of this! All diamantes are still there, and I would say that this is a fairly decent ring for Primark. Thanks for reading and I hope this has helped.
I'd liken this ring to a broach like style. Personally it reminds me of the Heart of the Ocean ring. It's a simple design with a golden/bronze coloured band, a heart with golden around it with silver diamantes. It's a chunky design and the heart is nice and solid but it's obvious it's made out of some kind of plastic. It shines well and looks great.
There are 3 sizes available; small, medium and large . I'd reccomend trying the different sizes as primark's sizes can be a bit off sometimes! There's also various colours; emerald green, red, orange and ofcourse the black.
My ring was £2, which in my opinion was a bargain as Topshop etc do VERY similar products for upto £8; although some people may view this as a cheap and nasty product, it's actually lasted really well and none of the diamantes have fallen off and i've not had the class green on my fingers yet; and i've had the ring for over a year! It's very stylish and in fashion and very versatile as it goes well with most outfits.
I'd reccomend it to anyone who likes wearing rings. It's really cute, comfy to wear, not too prominante/over the top and goes with any outfit/is wearable on any occasion! It shines really well and the stones/diamantes are well designed and don't fall off - great quality aswell as the heart. For £2 you really can't go wrong!
Now I love the accessories selection at Primark and I've got enough costume jewelery to sink a battle ship yet whenever i'm in Primark I always manage to find something to add to the collection. This ring has been out for a while now but I can still find it in several Primark branches. It comes in either red or black, I own the black one. I think it was £2 which is a bargain considering Topshop rings can range from about £6-£15!
It is quite a chunky ring and the heart and the band it is attached to is continuous. The actual band is a bright gold colour and I always paint the inside with clear nail varnish just to stop the rings from making my hands green (great if you want to be the hulk, not great otherwise) It has a black enamel heart with little diamantes around the outside. It comes in 3 sizes, small, medium and large. Its definitely worth trying on as I think I have a different size every time I buy a ring! Its actually lasted me surprisingly well and none of the stones have fallen out from around the outside like they normally do. A great statement piece for a bargain!
I suggested a load of Primark jewellery a few weeks ago and I got most of the reviews written pretty quickly but this one I couldnt manage to write for some reason, I just kept stopping and starting so I thought Id get it done once and for all today - Ive got too many suggestions to write about! Anyway Primark has to be one of my favourite places to shop for costume jewellery simply because you can find anything you need in there to match any outfit under the sun and it hardly costs anything so that is perfect for me. I found this 'Primark Heart & Crystal Ring' when I was in the store a few months back and it appealed to me straight away - girly yet sort of plain - exactly my style and perfect for my everyday, casual wardrobe! Another brilliant & bargain buy!
Other Info: Available in Red or Black. Available in sizes Small, Medium & Large.
*I personally have this ring in red meaning it is different from the one in the image. I also bought this ring in size Small as that was the one that fitted me best - I have to recommend trying them on in store though as Primark's ring sizes vary depending on design.*
This ring does look exactly like the one in the image - the only difference with the one I own is that the heart is red instead of black. The ring is shiny gold in colour - which actually doesnt look tacky shockingly - and I would describe the design as like a sovereign ring. By that I mean the band isnt seperate and the ring just has a whole rounded shape - which means its quite chunky to wear but by no means to big or bulky for a womans fingers - even if you do have slender ones. On the front of the ring is a small & bright red enamel heart which is surrounded by little diamantes - its a very cute ring in my opinion that is still plain/casual enough to be worn on a daily basis with most clothes and styles.
The ring does feel slightly more chunky than what Id usually go for but size wise it is actually quite small - it doesnt overlap any of my other fingers and it barely covers the part of my finger below the knuckle so this wont restrict movement in your fingers at all or feel to weighty on your hand. The Small size fits my finger very well as its tight enough not to fall off all the time or keep moving around but you still have a little bit of wiggle room - I think everyone will be able to find a size to fit them but definitely try it on in the store as Primarks ring sizes are something I cannot phathom out. Its fits my fingers perfectly though so its easy for me to wear this all the time without becoming uncomfortable.
Even though the red part of this ring is a very bright colour the ring design overall is still plain enough to wear with any outfit or style. I mainly prefer to wear this with say: jeans, red shoes & a stripy top as it fits into the nautical theme really well but this is great for dressing up any casual outfit and its just as good for wearing with a night out outfit - it adds a little bit of colour to the sometimes boring LBD. For £1.99 you really cant go wrong with this ring: its stylish, comfortable, versatile & dirt cheap. Highly recommended whether you love or hate costume jewellery as I think this is one for everyone.
Thanks For Reading.
